My family of ten decided to celebrate the birthday of our father last night at the Blue Note, and what an evening it turned out to be! The service was extremely helpful and efficient (I used to serve so I know great service) and the dinner was excellent. The thing I was most impressed with was that I had brought my own Birthday cake in for my father, and asked if the Chef could slice it up for us and plate it. My server informed me that the kitchen does not ordinarly present desserts that are not made in house, but since we were unaware of this they would help us out. They ended up presenting the cake with candles and the owners orchestrated the jazz band to sing my father a great sounding version of ""Happy Birthday""! My dad was extremely flattered. They went above and beyond my expectations!
