A few weeks ago I went to the ""trendy lounge"" sway on spring street. After the bouncer rudely dismissed us after standing on line for 30 minutes, we went over to the Emerald Bar across the street. We were actually greeted by a cool bouncer outside the door who checked our ID and told us to go further back in the bar avoid the crowd to get quicker service!! The bartenders were hot and friendly, not your typical manhattan snobs. Bartenders who say ""thank you"" how rare in manhattan. The music was great and we ended up staying there for the night. We've been frequenting the bar ever since and is one of our regular weekend hang outs.
