My apologies to the third world. I've never experienced such deplorable service there. Our rude waiter must have been deported from France for his decidedly un-Gallic sense of service. Getting information about dishes and their preparations was like asking Donald Rumsfeld how the Iraqi War is going. I brought two bottles of aged California red wine which our waiter sloshed into our glasses. Predictably, I ended up with a gritty last swallow. Our cheese courses were plopped down with no explanation of what was what on the platters. By the way, the bus service was on a par with that of the waiter featuring reaching over diners to serve and get plates and overfilling water glasses to the point the table cloth was doing double duty as a sponge. Fortunately for the waiter, we were a party of six, so our so our waiter got the mandatory, if unearned, tip.
Pros: Good good, Reasonably priced, Nice ambience
Cons: Service, Service, The lack thereof.
