When we entered Sebo on a Friday night we were impressed by the decor, but surprised to find less than a quarter of the restaurant full. Their flimsy menu included only one type of beer, Orion, which wasnt particularly unique or impressive. Given the bad signs, we decided to play it safe and start with edamame and miso soup, but they couldnt even get these basics right: the miso soup was lukewarm and the edamame didnt have an ounce of salt. The maguro roll with avocado and unagi nigiri were reasonably tasty, but we were relieved we didnt go with the omakase, the chefs selection; we just wanted to get out of there ASAP. My boyfriend went from spry and jovial to queasy and flatulent. If this is what you are seeking for a Friday night, head to Sebo on the double.
