BOMA is a combination of a modern art museum and hipster bar housed in a renovated church. Created by Tom Starker a former studio 54 bouncer, the church's convoluted architectural scheme gives it a different vibe in every room. The art is mostly contemporary ranging from graffiti to celebrity paintings and will likely be changing as time goes on. The crowd is about as close to the NY city hipster set as I have ever seen in Columbus. Drinks are modestly priced and the doormen still recognize they are in Columbus. The combination of the above is in the best physical space for a bar or club that I have ever been to here or anywhere else. While that may shock many LA, NY or more worldly readers as someone who has lived in both those cities I have no problem guarantying this as one of the best nightclubs you will ever find in Columbus.
Pros: Definitely the Art and Crowd
Cons: Bar Service leaves a lot to be desired. Stop by another bar before if you plan on drinking.
