I just recently was able to visit House in the Heights for a special dinner I had with a dear friend visiting town. We were both so impressed with the wonderful homemade bread with a delicious dipping olive oil. MMMMMMM. Too bad you can't buy this in Kroger! The restaurant is a remodeled old house with separate dining tables in each ""room"". We loved the way it was decorated with antiques and other eclectic items. So cute, cozy and comfy. Our server was actually the owner/chef of the house and was very friendly with us. He loved to explain exactly what our dishes were made of and how they were cooked. Every course was excellent. We were there for a few hours just enjoying each other's company, sharing our own wine we brought in and savoring each new food that was brought to us. We also took a lil tour of the house and got to see the other rooms , upstairs and ""backyard"" which has a cute garden area and deck. The lights around the back give it a very warm feeling. This place would be so great for a special date with that special someone and I'm looking forward to going back then!
Pros: Awesome food and ambience
Cons: BYOB
