Being a big fan of Houston's I had to try Catalina. Even though there was a nice crowd on Sat night we were seated promptly in a great atmosphere. The spinach salad was great even without the mushrooms (we were told they were out when we ordered), and the cheeseburger was very good, but not Houston's caliber (thicker bun, thinner meat that was well done instead of medium rare as it was ordered). I was disapointed in the cole slaw (not even similar to Houstons and too sweet). Had to ask for another fork when our entrees arrived and it took a noticably long time to receive the second glass of wine. Overall the experience was good, but I would have enjoyed it more had I not compared it to Houston's - a very tough act to follow. Going back tonight.
Pros: atmosphere, bar, nice crowd
Cons: parking, food inconsistent, service inconsistent
