Okay, I understand, it's New Year's Day. You're probably hung over. You want to hang out at the bar and drink champagne. You don't want to serve customers. That's fine. But drinking champagne is not necessarily incompatible with greeting your customers, especially when your restaurant is half-empty- at the very least you could make eye contact. Maybe after ten or fifteen minutes when you decide to visit your customers' table you could, I don't know, apologize for the wait. I regret going to Bia's, and I regret even more that we were too hung over to leave during that ten to fifteen minute wait. Ugh.
