There are many fine sushi restaurants here in town, but Kooma consistently has the freshest offerings around. Having worked in a sushi bar in San Diego I have a good eye/mouth for fresh sushi and Kooma's is always incredibly fresh, which amazes me since they less volume than the more well known sushi bars in town. Their prices are amazing as well - perhaps it is the lack of plasma screen TV and over the top decor that most other sushi restaurants insist on overwhelming me with. The spot is a bit hard to find tucked in between Martinis and a parking garage just behind Barley's by the North Market, but once you find it you will come back over and over again.
