sadly, the excellent service could not make up for the food. the 'cocomole taco' appetizer consisted of 5 tortilla chips topped with some pathetic shredded meat and a dab of green flavorless cream. next were two roasted peppers stuffed with what could only be described as Safeway's tuna salad--- menu refers to this abomination as 'tuna confit' which is apparently code for 'heavy mayo'. no wonder the French mock us. the 'squash flower flat bread' aimed for one thing--flatness. it was one very thin tortilla with cheese and squash flowers burnt into it, a terrible open-faced quesadilla. last (why order more when its going THIS badly?) the $15 scallops plate, bearing two scallops on a pile of wimpy mashed potatoes. in a city with so many options, i hope diners get smart about this place quickly. we left laughing bitterly about the money we spent on such a terrible meal.
