you saw it here first--there's now a bar in queens called ""bridge and tunnel"". the name of the place is obviously a tongue-in-cheek reference to the derogatory term by which many manhattanites refer to the good folks of the outer boroughs/suburbs of new york city--even if those manhattanites aren't ""real"" new yorkers, but rather ""new"" new yorkers who didn't grow up here and have only lived in the city since college or afterward. funny how a lot of these pretentious, deluded fools believe that ""the city"" only refers to manhattan, while simultaneously dismissing people from queens/brooklyn/bronx/staten-island/long-island/jersey/westchester as not being ""real"" new yorkers...please. anyhow, this bridge-and-tunnel place sounds pretty dope--any place that knows how to poke fun at itself is cool with me--even if it's out in queens. hey, considering that i live in manhattan, would i be the ""bridge-and-tunnel"" person if i were to visit this place? food for thought.
