Overpriced, overrated 12/16/2002

First time at this 'old' establishment, a supposed staple of Seattle seafood, and it was frankly disappointing. We had ordered 2 orders of Hamachi poke, for $4.50 apiece, and received two small (small!) ""soy-sauce dipping saucers"" of diced Hamachi fish, similar in size & consistency of relish. Then ordered entrees of crab cakes (which was good), and seared sturgeon (OK...). Ended with dinner of 1 coconut cream pie (OK, that was good...) and 3 Pellegrino Aranciatas for drinks, and the total tab (with tax +tip) ~$100. Jeez, with prices like this, who can afford to eat out more than once a month? Overrated, over priced, overall a disappointment, much like Mr. Douglas' other restaurants... Pros: dark dining Cons: price, price, price more
