Unfortunately, this place has really gone downhill. Without special attention paid to the presentation, the service, the drinks, the whole experience is mediocre at best. On a recent night out, we were even told by the hostess that the server had a bad week, so we should be careful how we acted with him. While I do not in any way expect my server to entertain me, I do expect them to be civil, and to stay home if they can't be. The restaurant was almost emtpy at 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. It won't be there much longer, but it's not because Ballard can't handle fine dining.
