I wanted a perm, and scheduled one with Gene Juarez. My natural hair color is ash brown, but for the past year, I had colored it to make it light blonde. I wanted a perm, and asked the technician about it before my appt since it was bleached. She said it would be okay, but that I'd need a trim. The technician left the solution on my head for over 20 minutes. She even checked it and waited longer. When she finished, my hair was fried. I began to cry, and she said to me, "Oh, but that's what you get for coloring your hair!" No apology or offer to fix it or compensate me. I had to have most of it cut off, and it's now too short, doesn't have style, and it's still half fried.
