I was going into 3rd grade the first time I ever visited Word of Life. My sister was going into 2nd. It was the first time we had ever been away from our parents. During the day there was so much to do. We went horseback riding, swimming, arts and crafts and had daily devotions and Bible studies. The counselors were wonderful and patient, especially at night when I would cry myself to sleep because I was homesick. My little sister did fine:) I accepted Jesus as my savior that summer. Every year after that we would go back to Word Of Life. ( I wasn't homesick anymore) When we got older we went to the Island for teens. That was also alot of fun. Some of my fondest memories are when I was at Word of Life. I am 40 years old now with 2 boys of my own. Our summers are so jam packed with sports and now that one is older, a summer job. I am sorry that they have never experienced Word Of Life. The good news is that both my boys are saved. Thanks Word of Life. You changed my life!!!
