Good eats for a brewery 8/16/2006

After having spent more than my fair share of time at various little breweries around town, Hale's Ales is a relatively decent offering. I don't give it many stars, but I expect more from a place that can roll-their-own beer on site. The food is fairly well done, though it's the standard pub fare. There's a good length to the menu, but nothing off the wall. You won't be underwhelmed, but don't expect to be overwhelmed either. The beer is quite tasty. Try out the creams that include the nitrogen. Any beer that includes things from physics or chemistry has got to be worth checking into, and this stuff was really good. The stout cream was good, but I liked the ESB much better. Parking is a crapshoot, mostly of the side-street variety. Pull around back and take up a spot in a corner of the Fred Meyer parking lot, and you should be fine. more
