It’s impossible to describe the genuine compassion and caring that the staff have shown my brother in law and all of us in the family. One night, he was anxious and restless. I was there, and I saw a nurse, John, sit and hold his hand and talk to him for a long time until he was calm and resting. The nurse was there past the end of his shift and said he wasn’t going to leave until my brother in law was ok. A week prior to that, there had been a family meeting where members of his team explained his condition and prognosis. Andrea, the wound care nurse, explained how all the pieces of his medical condition put together created the situation that he couldn’t recover from. His daughters were able to talk to him about this and he made the decision to stop care. Dr. Munshi was so thorough and kind in explaining end of life issues. Trisha provided his wife and daughters the emotional support they needed. Dr. Munshi, Andrea, and Trisha were with us the day he passed, helping to ensure this was a peaceful experience for him and all of us. We can’t express just how much all of this meant to us. Kindred has some very special people working there.
