I got a cut and 'blow' for $20 plus tip recently at the Supercutsin Brooklyn Heights.
Yes I did check the reviews prior to the cut and Gemma is a pain.
However, my disappointment came after wash and cut as Nina with her lukewarm hair blower ran her fingers through my hair. I said ' this is not a blow out you're not using a brush.' She immediately got huffy saying that if I wanted a hair blow I'd have to pay an additional $20.
I tried to explain what I was told by Gemma;' $17 for a wash, cut and if I wanted a blow dry $20 total'.
Then, Nina talked over me a bit louder. I broke out in peals of laughter. I was amused at their tag team tactics of extortion. I apologized because Nina seemed 'hurt', tipped her, paid and left.
The cut is decent but still looks like $20.
Their pricing is a sham and their low consciousness attitude toward customers leaves a lot to be desired. Warning: venture at your own risk.
