My Aunt in her 80's was taken to dinner at Olive Garden, food was good, service good...........but here comes the tacky part.
Instead of a free verbal 'Happy Birthday' comment, which would have been appropriate from the staff or anything else '''except''' what Olive Garden considered cute.......the server come out with an empty saucer with a lighted candle stuck to it.
Like I said, a simple ' Happy Birthday' would have been more couth then that jester. Tacky,tacky,tacky!!! Remember.. 'a simple nothing' would have been better then that. Tacky,tacky,tacky!!!
