I ordered over hundred dollars worth of Indian groceries from this website and through an error on the part of the UPS delivery guy my package was erroneously dropped off at some other address. I tried to sort this out with UPS myself, but was informed that the shipper, which is iShopindian is the only one who can make a claim.
Since the groceries have gone missing a week ago, ishopindian have not been very prompt with replying to phone calls (I have left two voice mail messages and haven't received a call back) nor have I received a reply for the last email I sent. Even if I call during their customer service hours which are 10am - 5pm CST, my call is rarely answered.
However, whenever I do manage to connect with them they are very courteous and polite, but unfortunately not very helpful. They will not resend me my order until UPS finishes their tracking investigations and reports that the package is permanently lost. When I inquired how long this would take, they said they didn't know. I suggested that they resend me the order and ask UPS to return the lost order to them (should they find it) - to which I have not received any reply from ishopindian.
The way things stand now, I have paid over hundred dollars for groceries which are lost and am receiveing no support from their store except for them repeatedly telling me that they cannot resend it until UPS says it is permanently lost.
I even expressed my dissatisfaction over not knowing where these groceries (should they find their way to me) have been. However no one has responded to my email yet.
I have had packages lost in the mail before, but each time the online store has resent the order while they dealt with the shippers themselves. This is the first time I've encountered a service which ignores their customer in this manner.
The situation hasn't resolved itself yet, I will update my review once it does.
