I just came back from Vegas today (4/21/08). I?m picky when it comes to food, especially Italian cuisine (I also consider myself an amateur chef). I lived in Italy for awhile, and I am somewhat snobbish when it comes to quality. This place is excellent! My father and I both had the fillet stuffed with foie gras (big enough for two), and the tomato & mozzarella salad for an appetizer. My fiancee had the linguini with lobster and shrimp, and my aunt had the sausage ravioli.
For all who unfortunately rated this restaurant as poor, you have no idea what good food tastes like (maybe the seafood buffet at the Rio would be a better choice?which is amazing by the way). I was in heaven at Zeffirino?s. My father and I both said that it was the best fillet we ever had?no joke. The buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes were unlike anything I ever tasted. The olive oil they used was simply the finest quality available. The linguini with lobster was fresh (huge pieces of fresh lobster?and I?m from Boston, so I know my seafood), and the sauce was amazing. Their ravioli may have been the best I?ve ever tasted as well.
For all who unfortunately received bad service/food: maybe it was how you dressed? This place is business casual, not shorts or jeans (I saw some people wander in from the strip?how rude of them to wear a swimsuit and sunglasses in the restaurant). The bill for the four of us (including 7 alcoholic drinks, no dessert?we were stuffed) was $236.00. Not bad for an amazing meal.
I?ve never written anything like this (generally I couldn?t be bothered). But after seeing a few disgruntled gamblers take a stab at this fine establishment, I just had to say something. Hats off to Zeffirino?s for their ambiance, service, and great food!
Pros: ambiance, service, food
Cons: a bit expensive
