went to Zalla for a Massage last week and I was very impressed. She is fantastic! I booked 80 minutes and I almost fell asleep. (It was very much needed) The atmosphere is not fussy, considering it is in River Oaks Shopping Center. It is upstairs so don't think you are lost. Zalla made me feel so comfortable and I was immediately booked another appointment for next month, same time. she also does house calls. A plus on those days when you're a total mess and the last thing you want to do is drive for a massage and waste it getting stuck in traffic on the way home. One important comment. I knew i got a very good massage. If you become dehydrated quickly and need to drink loads of water for 2 days, you LMT knows what she is doing. she has plenty of bottles of water on hand because she knows she's good! I highly recommend! more

Healing Hands 5/12/2012

I have been training for a half triathlon for 3 months, but been running into a few snags with minor injuries and severe soreness that makes me stagger my rest days. But after a deep tissue sports massage with stretching at Zalla Massage, the lactic acids disperse and I am able to hit the gym the very next day. If you train hard, I recommend adding a deep tissue sports massage and stretch with Zalla Otton to your regiment. more

Great Massage! 5/9/2012

Zallas is a great massage treatment, starting with a simple minimal check in unlike many massage places that want all kinds of unneccessary information and forms to fill out. I also used a coupon (Bloomspot) that I presented and was immediately in on the massage table. I've had many massage's and I want you to know Zalla is very very good. Zalla has great focused technique with strong pinpoint accuracy that allows her to feel areas that need attention. I thoroughly enjoyed an eighty minute session and loved the warm moist foot wrap after her treatment of my feet, a really nice touch! more

Attentive masseuse 5/8/2012

Also had to the Bloomspot deal described by someone else below. I have had a few bad experiences with these type of deals (sketchy places, places that suddenly close before you get to use the coupon, etc.) so I always read reviews prior to purchasing. Zalla had great reviews to start, so I bought it, and did not regret it! She is one of the only masseuse's I've had where they ask you what area you would like to focus on in your session, and they ACTUALLY DO. I am a runner and had just completed a half marathon the week before and was in dire need of some leg work. She spend the large majority of the time on my legs and back (as requested) and it was great. I asked for deep pressure (especially on my back) and it was perfect. I have already scheduled my follow-up appointment! I highly recommend giving Zalla a try! more

Located above the Gap- great massage 5/4/2012

I got the prenatal massage at 5/6 months. It was amazing. I cant wait for the next appt. and have been several times. She never rushes you in or out and the experience is very personal, she asks and listens to your needs. Set an appt for my husband and I know he will love it. Not a weak massage, I asked for more deep tissue since the baby weight gives me some new aches and strains and she really helped me with the pain spots. HIGHLY RECCOMEND! Worth the money, massage envy sucked for prenatal, cheaper but not even comparable. more

Zalla is a very caring Massage Therapist, who will listen to you and work on ALL the knots. Tried several before but she is definitely THE BEST. Feel soooo much better after the session. I would definitely recommend her and become a repeat customer. more

Zalla (yes, actually her name!) was super professional and gave a phenomenal 80 minute massage. Being a massage therapist myself and having to travel internationally a lot, I can say that this was by far a massage on my short list. Her attention to detail AND being able to communicate with you before the massage as to exactly what you was a plus. I highly recommend her and have already booked my next massage. I bought my massage on a Bloomspot deal because it was a great deal for an 80 minute massage. Zala made everything very comfortable and took time to talk about my health concerns. The music was relaxing and she focused on the areas we discussed. You can have a conversation or choose not to talk. 30 minutes into the massage, I was completely relaxed. She gives an amazing head-to-toes deep tissue body massage. I recommend her 100%. I have a body wrap in a couple of weeks and also bought a full body massage for my boyfriend. Simply, she is amazing! more

I've tried a bunch of massage places, with and without Groupons, Urban Deals, and Bloomspot. Zalla was one of those I checked out with a coupon. The service, atmosphere and professionalism has kept me coming back. Great deep tissue work. Nice clean space. Great location. more

Magic Hands! 1/17/2012

This was the best massage I have ever gotten. I came in with pain from my neck all the way down through my shoulder blades and into my lower back. By the time I left I was able to move my neck in all directions again. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Zalla, I would go back in a heartbeat! more

Amazing! 12/12/2011

Zalla is wonderful. She really listens to what you need and is very capable of making that happen! Whether it is deep tissue, athletic centred or pre-natal she can do it. I am a runner and she was able to help loosen up all the tight areas. It also helped the soreness in my hips I get from training too. The environment is always perfect and calming. I leave there feeling relaxed. I would highly recommend to anyone. It is absolutely worth every penny and more! more

This was the second time I have come to enjoy a massage from Zalla. I absolutely love the massages! I got my fiance his first massage, he loved it as well. I recently moved to the Woodlands, coming back down to the west Gray area is completely worth it, she is located in the heart of the dining and shopping centers of the Royal Oaks/west gray area. I love getting deep tissue massages and usually leave other places feeling that they didnt listen and target the areas needed. Zalla is completely different, she provides massages that fit your needs, I left there floating, there were several times throughout the massage that I was drifitng off to sleep. I highly recommend experiencing a massage from Zalla, dont just go for the 60 min, the 80 mintue will get you to where you need to be and have you coming back as a return customer! more

Best massage in Houston 11/17/2011

Zalla has a super cute massage salon, in the middle of a nice shopping and dining area, loved the location. Perfect to walk around before your massage and have some lunch. Zala made me feel very welcome in her oasis, sche was profesional and took all the time sche needed to ask about me and my problems, she gave me the relief i needed without hurting me, wich a lot off massage therapists do. I loved the calming music and feld completly relaxed myself, wich is hard She absolutly hit the right spots and I left her place on a cloud, as a matther of fact ill probebly name my firtsborn Zala. The next time I am back in Houston I will go see her again! more

There's Massage... and then there's Zalla Massage! 11/6/2011

I have seen chiropractors, doctors, and physical therapists to deal with my joint pain yet their "results" paled in comparison to the relief I got from Zalla's massage. My stubborn neck pain was gone after only 1 session and I felt more fluid motion from head to toe. As a long-distance cyclist, the benefits from her massage are immeasurable! Zalla was very professional and the calming atmosphere in her studio was just what I needed. Her thorough technique and attention to detail sets her apart from anyone in the business. I keep 'Zalla Massage' business cards with me because there is no way I can keep such a good service a secret. I highly recommend people check out Zalla Massage and Yoga. She does a stellar job! more
