Editorial review from Citysearch 11/30/2012

I completely agree with other reviews DO NOT USE. It wasn't even busy and we still didn't get a decent portrait. They should have been less concerned with the individual pictures, etc. to up-sell and maybe focused on what we were there for, which was a FAMILY photo. more

DO NOT GO THERE!!! It is a complete waste of time. Photographer rush in taking pictures and do not even give you time to smile. Pictures was horrible!! The picture taken in my digital camera is much better. Staff told me they are ""high end studio"". Well it is a high end expensive garbage alright... DO NOT BUY THOSE LIVING SOCIAL AND GROUPON DEAL... IT IS A WASTE, CAN ONLY GET ONE SHOT IN WHATEVER THEY SAID YOU CAN GET.. IT IS A FRAUD AND RIFF OFF !!!!! more

rushed and poor customer service 9/27/2011

Our families have used Yuen Lui for years and been happy. However, the last couple of times we have felt rushed and the quality of the pictures were not good. Photographer didnt take the time to get everyones attention for the shot let alone get people to smile. I don't recommend people go there and we'll never go back. more

phenomenal! 7/15/2011

I work as a photographer in the Portland area and decided that I'd give myself a break this time around, and maybe even be in the photo myself. It was a great decision. I loved my photos, the quality of the prints, and every person we worked with - from scheduling the appointment to placing the order- was friendly and knowledgable. I normally wouldn't write a great review on another photographer (nor would I be in the position to) but everything was just great from start to finish! more

Beware! 7/13/2009

My best friend just had her photos done here... I cannot believe how poor quality they were I showed her the ones I got done by another professional portraiture studio... She'll be going there next time! Pros: Cheep Cons: Photos like a disposable camera more

JeanPhotography is Portlands best! 2/2/2008

Not good for weddings 8/17/2007

Horrible all around for wedding photography. Our original photographer fell ill, and we were not notified that a replacement would be sent. The photographer that we received instead was not very good. We have not yet seen our photos, however, everytime I looked around, he was standing there, camera at his side. The staff at the office is not very friendly, and not very helpful. I would recommend using someone else to capture your big day, I wish I would have, as I can not go back and do it again. more

Photographers Not So Great Anymore 4/2/2007

Our family has been going to Yuen Lui for five years, and have always been happy with the resulting photos. Kenneth was the name of our photographer, and he was always tireless in his efforts to capture a good pictures of us, and also incredibly patient with our four very young children. The last time we went in for a portrait of our kids, Kenneth had left, and we were matched up with a young woman as our new photographer. She was impatient, seemingly condescending when I made some suggestions about how to get my kids to smile for the camera, and overall left me with the feeling that I didn't want to return to the studio for a future portrait. It is unfortunate because the studio is close to our home, but it reminded me that the studio itself is not what makes it great, the photographers at the studio are what matter. Hopefully, they'll either coach their existing photographers into better client-relations skills, or rehire Kenneth! I wish them luck. The people who work on administrative duties there have never been anything but cordial and accomodating. more
