Yellow Dot Heating & Air Conditioning

On July 30, I called yellow dot for service on my two and a half years old unit. I ask if it has warranty and they said yes, valid for 5 years, then they said they were charging $99 for diagnostic at which I said why, and they said warranty just cover labor for the first two years and 5 years on parts. I agree with the price and after the technician came and changed the capacitor the bill was $ 205.41. So, they are charging more than a hundred dollars for a piece that is not more than $5-$15 everywhere and easier to change than a battery. What about the warranty coverage? I did call to claim for what I think is not a fair business practice but still have not received any response. Even though their response coming was fast, I'm very disappointed because I had other options but choose them because the warranty coverage, I feel abused on prices and bad information. I will never use their service again, not even recommend them. Be aware of burglars with a business appearance.. more

We had Yellow Dot come out for a unit that was not running. They instructed us it was an electrical issue and charged us for the visit. We had an electrician out the next day and he instructed us that we needed a new pump and it was in fact an AC issue. As you can see we were caught in a loop and being charged with every visit. We had Yellow Dot come out AGAIN and the technician tried to tell us the pump was fine. We told him to replace it because we trusted the electrician...it was in fact the pump. We found this out three visits and a week without AC when it was 90+ degrees outside. I called asking for a refund on some of the services and was told they had actually given us a discount. What about the extra visit from the electrician? more

They responded quickly and seemed very professional at first, but their estimates were higher than others I found for my new HVAC system. They didn't honor a coupon they have on their website for 10% off that didn't explain the eligibility terms well. At the same time, the guys who did the work were professional and skilled. more

We had to have our entire heating/air system replaced in the middle of Summer. Yellow Dot reps were beyond courteous, they were actually friendly. Prices were comparable. They didn't try to sell me more than they needed and the entire thing took place in 2 days. \r It was an incredible experience all of the way around. more

After getting several quotes, I found Yellow Dot to be the most professional and reasonably priced by far. They were the only company to talk about getting my vents (DIY job from a former owner) up to code, and said that getting me a 93% burn furnace was "no problem," when all the other companies said it "could not be done without an engineer and knocking down walls"! They replaced both my furnace and AC in one day while I was hosting out-of-town guests and were not intrusive or loud at all. Yellow Dot was suggested to me by a friend, and I will surely be passing on the recommendation. more

I had need of a new system and after looking st 5 different companies determined for the quality I wanted YD had the best price. My old system stopped recently and I called Tom on Monday & Weds. the installers showed up right on time, worked like crazy, even in a 160 degree attic & I was up & running by 4 PM. They did everything they said they would, Great job! more

Yellow Dot just replaced the furnace in my 70 yr old house... no easy task. Supplies and returns needed work along with the new system. Also, my old furnace decided to die on the coldest day of the year. Jason and the install team took on the challenge quickly, professionally and at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend Yellow Dot and also suggest not shopping for your new HVAC strickly on price... you will get what you pay for. more

We had our heat pump and air handler replaced with a Trane system back in March and our experience with Yellow Dot was great. We spent a lot of time getting prices and talking to a lot of different companies and they were the most professional and gave us the best price. I was very impressed with the installation and the follow-up of the salesman. He actually came out and helped the installer finish the job. We are getting ready to build on and we will not even call anyone else. more
