If we lived in a perfect weather environment, Winnetka Village Apartments would be a good choice for the rent amount. Its not too far from downtown Minneapolis and has easy access to highways (94, 694, 394, and 100)\r
\r
However, we do not. This is Minnesota and we get hot summers and very cold winters. Windows and balconies are drafty. The wall air conditioners are old and very loud. Also, the water heating system is old and breaks down OFTEN during the winter. Be prepared to go days without heat. Also be prepared to have maintenance fixed the heaters often throughout the winter. Management response to broken heaters can take up to a few days.\r
\r
What management will provide when there is no heat are space heaters but using those will increase your electricity bill and you can't leave them on all day/night when you're not home. (Leaving them on all the time when there is no heat creates a fire hazard.)\r
