Wildflour Boston Pizza

I've been going to the al dente restaurant since it opened last year. It started with a lot of energy and ideas for something a little different for the area. Supposed to offer a late night option for food and drinks. No where near any sort of late night now a days. It seems like the owners get irritated when there is any business past 9 pm on any day of the week. The female owner doesn't seem friendly at all. She won't look you in the eye or even say hello. Looks like she doesn't ever want to be there. We still go back because the wife and I enjoy the bartender Billy. He has always been very helpful and professional. Really great wine selection...superior pasta, thin with real ingredents...good range of pasta dishes, again with excellent meat...and the salads are crisp, tasty. Owner is open to any suggestions, and circulates...wait staff all sensitive and energetic. more

We thought the new al Dente restaurant in Stonehenge was excellent. The al Dente trio was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Chicken, sausage and plump shrimp cooked perfectly with penne pasta and delicious sauce. The atmosphere was great and the staff was pleasant. We would definitely go back again. more

This place won't last long. A year tops. First the food is WAY too salty. I'm still reeling from the excess sodium. We were there on the 2nd day of business and the chicken dish (named after the daughter) which came with risotto, showed up with no risotto. The waiter said they were out. OUT? on the 2nd day of business at 7pm?? Not to mention, you don't bring a dish to the table and then say you are out of something. Service was slow. Bottom line, extremely dissapointed and won't be returning. All 3 dishes my table ordered were too salty. The only reason we gave it a single star was the wine was ok. But then again, all you have to do is pour it. Even then, the cabernet came chilled and not room temperature. Again, as a waiter, you should prepare your guest and ask if this is ok first. NO surprises! more

We had reservations and were told we would have the lower area of the restaurant. When we arrived, they took us to three tables squished together so tightly that we couldn't even pull out the chairs! We were not in the lower section of the restaurant, but on the side section. The owner/manager lady made the comment, ""I don't know what else we can do for these people!"" As if we were a nuisance! She was also obviously bothered by the fact that we had to split one of the tickets. We had a party of 18 people. One of the children had milk with her meal instead of soda and she charged us extra for her milk!! Her behavior will prevent any other family gatherings at this restaurant. The food was good, but we can find good food somewhere else. The waitress was very sweet. It's too bad the owner/manager (whatever her title is, I'm not sure, but she was obviously in charge) doesn't have the same good customer service skills her wait staff has. more

I have been visiting this Wildflour Pizza for two years and my overall impression is slow service and dirty tables. Because of this we started doing takeout only...but due to the last food ordered, I would not even recommend that. When eating in, the staff is usually too busy eating and drinking up front to pay attention to the customers. My decision to not eat at Wildflour was due how the manager handled a badly burnt pizza served to us. The last try for Wildflour was a simple dinnertime order for a carryout cheese pizza. When we got home and opened the box, we saw a pizza so overcooked the crust was blackened and the cheese pizza looked like it had black pepperoni due to burning the cheese to a char. We had to call the restaurant and then go back to the restaurant to return the burned pizza and then wait for the replacement pizza. The manager said the pizza looked fine to him but to wait and he would replace it with an unburned pizza. He never apologized for our trouble and I just wish I had asked for my money back. The replacement pizza was so undercooked the dough was raw. The manager's attitude was very unpleasant. I would not recommend this restaurant to eat in or for carry out, we certainly won't be back! This is our casual family favorite! They have a nice array of large portion salads that are always fresh. The dressings are homemade and don't overpower the salad! The Boston style pizza has a light airy crust and the chicken strip appetizer comes with honey mustard and barbeque sauces that are better than any we've had elsewhere! The portions are generous and they also serve beer and wine. Anytime we've dined here there have been other children at half the other tables. No one minds if your toddler gets a little loud from time-to-time. Its truly a restaurant the entire family loves! Wildflour Boston Pizza is much more than the average pizza place. The menu selections offer something for everyone! I especially love the barbecue chicken pizza...I know...sounds questionable but WOW...hot, sweet, and absolutely delicious! Not a pizza fan...don't worry! You will love the lasagna, chicken marsala, and this place is a definite if you are dieting! Check out their fabulous salads and wraps! I highly, highly recommend Wildflour for their pizza, other menu choices, and attentive staff! Ohhh...before I forget be sure to check out the daily specials.
