This is the place. Search no more. If you like the grandeur of a palace squeezed into a modestly sized chapel this is it. After seeing the place for the first time, I was absolutely in love with the exquisite decor and tasteful furnishings and ambiance it offers. Combined with a decorative back yard for receptions that includes a bar and photography facilities you will be impressed with the amount of attention paid to every detail of the wedding ceremony. Just follow Nathans advise as he is a pro at this, and you will not be disappointed. The beach is accessible by foot and the sunsets are just out of this world. If the weather is not conducive to a beach wedding, the chapel is as magnificent as any come. You must visit this place to really appreciate it. more

A great wedding experience. Nathan explains every detail and is very knowledgeable in wedding preparations and execution. He will guide you through all the details and explain to you the purpose of every step, patiently. Just follow his instructions and you will be elated with the results. The experience this man has over the years shine through in the end and you will be pleased. Elegantly decorated chapel and very convenient to access. Very competitively priced as well. more

Our daughter's sunset wedding was July of 2013. The beach location was perfect and the wedding was beautiful. Everything promised to us during the original meeting and in the contract was fulfilled. Thank you Nathan for making our daughter's day a wonderful memory! more

It is sad that the world still has people like Miki K. When Miki and her fiancee, Leroy, visited the chapel ion April 13, 2013, they booked a wedding at the chapel with photography for Aug. 30, 2013. They toured the chapel, like it, and paid $425 deposit, signed the contract for $875.00, to reserve the evening of Aug. 30 for their wedding. Two weeks later she demanded to know the name of the minister and wanted to change to another location and time. Both Miki and Leroy kept demanding new services at the same price that were not part of the original contract. She did a chargeback and the credit card company, after 6 weeks of holding the deposit, denied her chargeback because she broke the original contract. A new contract was emailed to her, but she still insisted on her price and time of service. I finally decided enough was enough, and informed both of them I was returning their deposit minus $25 that the credit card co. charged me.. A cashier check for $400.00 was mailed to her on Aug. 5th. I lost business because I was holding that time/date for her wedding on Labor Day weekend! I still wish them the best on their upcoming wedding! more

I wish I had read the previous reviews before giving Nathan my deposit. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! THIEVES OWN THIS CHAPEL!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! \r \r I am warning anyone that is planning a wedding to beware of Nathan, the owner of this wedding chapel. He took our deposit (over $400) and has refused to provide us with any services. We have contacted our lawyer and plan to sue. Do not make the same mistake we did. He seemed nice at first - but is unprofessional and cannot handle changes / requests. This has been a NIGHTMARE FOR US. more

HUGE disappointment!! Very unprofessional photos, video and overall service. One video camera malfunctioned so most of the video has the back of the shirt of a videographer and Nathan (the ""professional"" photographer). No one has admitted to this and Nathan hung up on me when I questioned why it was taking so long to get my video. The minister left out the entire part of the service devoted to our kids, so we had to go back and make it up at the end. I was told we would have a table for our sand ceremony, but we ended up having to do it on the ground. We didn't ask for a refund though I feel that it is due. I'll probably just get hung up on again if I call. Please don't take a chance of ruining your wedding memories! more

I set up my wedding for a beach wedding at sunset, followed by a reception in the garden area. I was worried about how everything was going to come together. Nathan walked me through everything, and for an AMAZING price we had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding I could have ever imagined. Nathan was more than helpful. He did everything he could to make sure the wedding went over smoothly. The pictures are beautiful. He is a wonderful and good hearted person and is trying to give couples a wedding to remember without them having to pay unreasonable prices. I would recommend The Galveston Wedding Chapel to any and all of my friends, family and anyone who wants a beautiful wedding. Nathan is amazing. more

I called and talked with Nathan about having a wedding at his chapel. When asked about photos of the chapel he told me that they were somewhere on the site he could not remember but I could look at other wedding photos and get an idea. I later asked about parking and that we needed handicap parking he told me that he had never been asked that and that we would park on the street there is no handicap parking. I told him that was not acceptable and he hung up on me. I am just glad that I found out early what type of person I was dealing with before I made a reservation. more

To be fair....it was raining on the day of our wedding. We were good with it, but the minister seemed annoyed that he had to be there. We paid for pictures, and just received a box of, mostly in-focus, 4X6's that could have been done with a disposable camera. I would have a friend do your photography if they own any type of camera. I paid for a package that included setup for a wedding (meaning chairs), music setup, and a powder room in which to dress. I got a tiny hot bathroom with someones toiletries scattered about, a push out the door because it was 30 minutes until the next wedding, a late officiant, and a seaweed covered chairless public beach. Pros: A great minister that had prepared a nice ceremony Cons: Everything else. And I heard from another review that the photo package is horrid. more
