Great Waxing Service 7/2/2006

I went and saw Krista for the 1st time the on Sunday and had a Brazilian wax. She quick, professional and made it as painless as possible. She was very friendly and put me at ease as I had not had a Brazilian wax in a number of years. I would highly recommend her and Wax in the City. I will most definitely be going back. I love this salon. The employees are awesome, the enviroment is inviting and the selection of services as well as technicians are wonderful. The girls always make me feel comfortable and it is very affordable. Tipping is included in their pricing so you don't have to worry about that either. I highly recomend this place!!! more

Pleasantly Surprised 6/14/2006

Not that Wax in the City and Jessie need any more compliments, but I has such a great experience I feel like I should. As a first timer for a Brazilian wax, I wasn't sure what to expect.....Not only was it not really that painful, but Jessie made me feel so comfortable. I would recommend Wax in the City to anyone, especially first timers. more

Awesome place! 6/14/2006

This place is really upbeat yet laid back and has great service. I had a brazilian and brow shaping with Alex ( I am a guy, a straight guy at that) and she is amazing. I had never had anything waxed before let alone taking everything off down there, but I decided that maybe it'll be better than shaving. I was nervous as hell at first both about the embarassment factor and the pain factor. But that quickly wore off. It was hardly painful at all and Alex made me feel totally comfortable. I would say it was a lot more comfortable than a lot of doctor's appts. I will totally be going back to her regularly as it's definitely a superior alternative to shaving. I say guys (gay and straight) and girls, whatever your preconceived notions about brazilians, forget them and try one here before you make up your mind. You'll be surprised and probably happy with the results. This place really is great! Pros: great ambience, friendly girls Cons: people in the lobby might hear what you had done more

Reading all of the kudos about this place I decided to try a brazilian there. Rave postings on cityserach by all of the supposed clients made my expectations high that the brazilian wasn't going to be painful. Pros: location, price more

Painless Wax In The City 4/14/2006

I debated for months on getting a Brazilian Wax. I was sick of shaving and after reading the reviews on this site, I made an appointment with Jessie and I AM SOOOO GLAD!! It was virtually painless! I had never had any type of Bikini Wax before, so I was feeling brave when I decided to get the Brazilian. Jessie made the experience so relaxing and I tell ya I felt no pain at all. I give her an A+++ for her work! She did a magificant job! The atmosphere was, hip, and relaxing. The girls were really friendly... and you can't beat the "TIP INCLUDED" pricing. If you want a Brazilian but are afraid of the pain... GO TO WAX IN THE CITY. I have traded my razor in for the ladies at Wax In The City!! Don't wait any longer.... get over there today.... BEST IN DENVER!!!! 3/30/2006

I made an appt. after reading all the amazing reviews. My appt. was with Jessie this girl was amazing so friendly and really nice. I have been getting brazillans for 3 years now and was amazed at how quick and painless it was. I will never go anywhere else! They are even moving to a larger brand new office just down the street, they even gave me half off my first service and tipping is included. I cant say enough good things about this place and Jessie, after going to various people over the years I can confidently say that Jessie is THE person to see if getting waxed in Denver. Friendly environment, wonderful ambience and great location for downtown business men like myself. Men, this is the place to go. Both Summer and Alex are great with men's brow treatments. I always leave satisfied and never feeling as if my brows have become to feminine or overdone, very natural and polished. They both have the magic touch!!! more

A must visit 1/20/2006

I am visiting Denver from out down and chose Wax in the City from everyone else's review....they were RIGHT ON!! I had a brazilian with Jessie and was in and out in 45 minutes (plus she did my brows!) She was so wonderful to work with, made me feel completely comfortable, and the least painful waxing I've ever had done!! There were only a few times when I said ouch....and it looks great. She does an amazing job at making sure she gets everything and keeps you relaxed. I will definitly fly out to Denver to get waxed again... nothing tops this place! more

Cherri is the best! She is very meticulous and takes her time shaping my brows just the way I like them. I always leave very satisfied. She makes you feel relaxed and at ease with her easy-going, non-pertinacious attitude. I look forward to my monthly appointments with her. more

Great experience for a first timer 12/9/2005

This was my first bikini wax ever, so I was a bit nervous. Summer made me feel very comfortable, and it turned out to be a good experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was nice, and the 50% off for my first visit was a great incentive. I'd recommend them to my friends for sure! If you're looking for a place to get a brazilian bikini wax, look NO further. I am someone whom has VERY little tolerance for pain; needless to say, the thought of any type of waxing makes me cringe. I have been to a few spas in Denver that offer a Brazillian and Wax in the City (Jessica) did a great job, very professional, friendly and quick. The hard wax that she used was great and not irritating at all! I have found a great place, and their prices are very reasonable and include tip which is excellent and the first visit was 1/2 off! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Alex and Summer have really created a unique and much needed improvement on the hell of getting waxed. Their spa is in a great space, they are professional and do an excellent job. I won't go anywhere else. Another plus, you can book your appointment online! The "no tipping" policy won me over for good. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone! more

Ever since I visited Argentina, I have been looking for a wax place that used hard wax (for bikini area). If you've never used it, you're in for a treat. It is soooo much better. It's quicker, covers much larger areas (so it's less painful- less repetition), and removes more hair- even the baby ones that normally are left behind. I wish that I could take Wax in the City with me when I move! The staff is friendly, the waxers know how to wax and the no tipping policy is great. Sometimes parking is annoying because Market St gets busy, but I have never had to walk more than a block. The ability to make appointments online is another fantastic feature. The Absolute Best! 7/2/2005

I had almost given up on waxing. It has always been so painful and traumatic for me. But Citysearch recommended Wax In The City, so I thought I'd give it one more try. It blew me away!! The ambience is very cool; spacious rooms with exposed brick. I was feeling very vulnerable, but Summer put me at ease. And it was as painless as waxing could possibly be! She is so skilled at the art of hair removal, that it's over before you know it! She is so thorough, using tweezers to get every hair. And you can't beat the price!
