NEVER AGAIN! I read amazing reviews for waxing the city and it was my first time getting an eyebrow wax from this place... So I was excited when one was five minutes away from me! I began getting brazillans back in September and am so glad I went to Waxing the City first. I have the service about every 4-6 weeks without fail. I have been to all 3 Denver locations and the staff has always been fabulous. I have had the service from all levels of technicians and have always had a great experience. I know that I can scehdule at any location with any technician and have a good experience. more

Wow. Just had a brazilian with Liv at the Belmar location, she is amazing.First and foremost, the studio is spotless and their technique is sterile. The environment is very clean and they will NEVER double dip......you know what I mean. I have been a dedicated waxing the city client since they opened, I have always seen Jessie at the Lodo location. She is so talented and professional I have hesitated ever seeing anyone else. With a hectic schedule, I am only able to go to the lakewood location. I am soooo glad that I took the plunge and trusted Liv. She is fabulous. I love Jessie and if you are going to lodo she is definitely your girl, but if you are going to Lakewood Liv is who you want to see. Quick and as painless as a brazilian can be ;) . I have had great brazilians and I have had terrible ones. These girls are amazing! Thanks you guys for providing such excellent service and hiring such a competent staff. I was in need of an eyebrow wax....bad! I was looking for a new place and had seen a coupon for Wax in the CIty. Unfortunately, I don't live downtown anymore. Fortunately, there is a Wax in the CIty in DTC. My experience was great, from the phone call for an appointment to the finished product. Laura did my brows and was so thorough. The wax they use doesn't hurt nearly as much as traditional wax. They have complimentary soda if you have to wait, but I arrived 20 minutes early and only waited 5! It was great and even though its a little further from Highlands Ranch than I"d like, I will definitely go back! more

This was my first time waxing and everyone there was great. When I first walked in it smelled like a dr office. Little did I know how reassuring that was going to be! The staff was super friendly and they were able to accommodate me even though I was a bit late. I highly recommend the level 3 tech named Courtney (Evertte I think is her last name). Beautiful wax. Minimal discomfort. Prompt, curteous service.. Always felt welcome and comfortable. I learned of Waxing in the City from reading Best of whatever in the 5280 magazine. I'm a particularly happy client, because I was very reluctant to get a bikini wax after a horrible, painful, and infectious experience I had 5 years ago in a different state (Brazilian, took weeks to heal). But the 5280 reviews convinced me to give waxing another try, especially because I get unsightly razor burn from shaving the bikini area. Today I decided to go for the Brazlian (had been doing modified Brazilian). I had been sure that it would hurt like the dickens, and it didn't! I am so pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended, and anyone who writes otherwise is being nasty. Tsk, tsk. I believe in karma. I go to Stacey at the DTC location. I went into Waxing the City strictly because I live so close and because it had pretty good reviews. A couple of friends of mine had told me that I should not go there because they had bad experiences multiple times but everyone always has a different experience right? I cant stand people who go on these reviews things and rip the company a new one for petty problems that were more than likely their own fault. Regardless, I guess the whole point of these things are to share your experience for future customers.So, with that being said here was mine. I came 15 minutes early for my appointment and waited there for about 40 minutes (which is no problem, because as I said I did come in early and I had the day off and to be quite honest, had nothing else better to do) then when it was my turn the lady I had been scheduled with barely introduced herself because she was so rushed and the entire time I was in the room she didn't speak a word to me, it made me feel very uncomfortable. Especially because this was my very first time. I understand some people like to work in silence so for this I cant complain but regardless it still made me feel uncomfortable. The end result of the wax looked just about as terrible as it felt. When I went to check out the receptionist was really short with me and almost a bit rude. I understand people have stressful days I just wish I didn't have to suffer for it (so to speak). I'm sure people have great experiences there all the time but unfortunately for me, mine just wasn't. I've recently found a new place and am so happy with it, so I guess thats all that really matters right? Waxing the City is absolutely the best place to go for waxing in the Denver area. I tried Waxing the City at the recommendation of a friend and was very happy with the entire experience and the results. I will admit I did try other salons closer to home strictly for convenience, but was never as satisfied as I was with Waxing the City. From now on I will make the 20 min drive to get the best service and the best price. I have been to several different cerologists at Waxing the City and have been happy with all of them! Waxing The City does a great job with my brazilian. I've seen a level 1 and level 2 and for the price, it is a very good service. However, I've watched the estheticians double dip! I saw Abagail. She was very professional and did a great job. It was the first time I was getting a Brazilian wax and I was nervous. Of course it doesn't feel good, but Abagail did a great job and it was quick and what I believe to be the least amount of pain possible. I would definitely rec her to anyone. While she is only a level 1 waxer at this salon, it is not based on years of experience but time employed by waxing the city. I have already booked my next appointment. I started going to "waxing the city" three years ago and fell in love with both Alex and Summer who both did a magnificant job at anything I needed done. However, recently it has been near imposslible to schedule an appointment with either, as they have opened another location in Texas. I have tried many other technicians with horrible results! I got in the same afternoon I called, and Stacey was great and did exactly what I wanted. I had far less irritation and redness post-wax than I usually do. I will definitely be going back to her, my brows look clean and perfect. The place is clean and chic. Best of all, check out the ad in 5280 for 50% off the first brow service! I went to the lodo location for a Brazilian with Skye. She was fantatstic! Made me feel very comfortable and talked with me the whole time. It was fast and much less painful than the ones I have had before at other places. I left really early because I thought parking would be bad, but found a place right outside on Market. Would definitly recommend this place and Skye! more

I had never gotten a bikini wax before, let alone a brazilian! I was always skeptical and nervous, but I decided to do some good research and try it! I read a lot of reviews on city search on Wax in the City. I was amazed at all of the rave reviews this place was getting. It made me feel like i had been missing out on the best waxing spot in Denver! Jessie Dillard's name came up OVER and over in my research, so I booked my online appointment (very convenient) with her! I had my appointment this morning and all went well! Jessie did a great job of coaching me through the process, educating me on it, and explaining what she was doing. I would highly recommend her! She was friendly, down to earth and has a lot of experience. If you are wanting a home run experience, book with Wax in the City! Thank you Jessie and Wax in the City! more

I have been going to Summer at Wax in the City for years. She gives my brows a very natural shape, and the waxing is almost painless! The redness from the waxing goes away much more quickly than anywhere else I have been. Highly recommended. more
