Shelley is a great waitress 10/19/2009

We had a group of 9 and the service was really good. We didn't have to wait long. Shelley was very personable, efficient and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. As far as the resturant it was good but I think it's overpriced for what you get. Glad we were able to make reservations. more

Terrible. 6/29/2009

I had the misfortune of being a part of the watermark staff for about a total of 3 nights before I couldn't work there any longer. I couldn't believe some of the things this place got away with. Staff would smoke while cooking and some would appear drunk or worse. Prices were ridiculous for food they would often go to the food lion next door to buy. And if you order a salad... they put the little goldfish crackers in it. Its obvious that this facility could only survive in a place like atlantic beach because anywhere else it would have been shut down or run out of business. Pros: Good music.. sometimes Cons: Everything else more

Avoid this restaurant!! 8/9/2008

My husband and I were visiting the beach and decided to try this restaurant. We were seated promptly and the staff was slightly friendly. After getting over the prices listed on the menu we decided to place our order. We ordered the kids chicken tenders, my husband ordered the grilled chicken, and I had the pasta with alfredo sauce and chicken. The whole meal cost us $60, and was a huge disappointment. As soon as I tasted the pasta, I knew that the sauce had come from a jar, not fresh made. My husbands chicken was not so bad, but not very high quality given the price of the meal. \r After the meal, it took us 20 minutes to get the check after we asked for it from the waiter. Then as we were leaving the restaurant, we noticed that one of the cooks had also exited the restaurant and entered the Food Lion next door to the restaurant. We needed to pick up a few items as well and so my husband also went into Food Lion. The cook had gone into the grocery store to pick up more chicken tenders for the restaurant, he bought the Food Lion brand that was shaped like little dinosaurs which were the exact ones that my kids had just eaten. We paid $6 a child for the chicken tenders and they were buying bags of them for much cheaper. If I had wanted to eat items that I could have purchased at the grocery store then I would have went there instead of to the restaurant. \r It seems to me that they purchase their food items from Food Lion for a cheap price and then charge much more than its worth in the restaurant. \r I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, save your money and just purchase the items yourself next door at the grocery store! Pros: The butter was great on the rolls Cons: The entire experience except for the bread and butter more

Missed the Mark on seafood 11/29/2007

My family and I ate at Watermark. Since we were at the beach, we ordered seafood. Had to wait for a greeter at the door after making reservations ahead of time. My husband ordered the Scallops which were on special. They were the imitation kind, stingray meat. Not the real deal. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with baked potatoe, vegetables, salad. I didn't care fore the taste of the Mahi Mahi, personal preference. The baked potatoe was the hottest thing on my plate temperature wise. The baked potatoe had a very breadcrumbly texture to it, like it had been cooked and reheated or microwaved? The salad was iceberg not dark leafy green as I expected. They gave one cheese plastic cuppy with the crackers for 3 people. I requested bread to be brought out with the salads. It arrived between the salad and entree. Wait staff very busy. Sweet tea very good. Paid $60. Overall disappointed with the quality of food, especially temperatrue and texture. I do not recommend. Too bad we didn't get the steak. Pros: Decor was fun, easy to find Cons: Aweful baked potatoe, tight space between tables, too little cheese served more

Great Steak at the Beach 9/6/2007

this is the place for great angus beef at the beach. the steak oscar as well as the wet and dry combo are wonderful. the portions are huge, so the extra plate charge is worth paying. each meal comes with a salad and a cheese and cracker basket. \r the menu is not full of sophisticated sauces or over the top presentation, but the food is done well. and that keeps the restaurant full throughout most of the year. reservations are a must for the weekends, and calling in advance in the summer because of the busy band schedule the restaurant has picked up (beginning at 10pm). closed on tuesdays. \r there is a children's menu.\r sometimes the service can be lacking. and the restaurant can get loud. Pros: angus beef, strong drinks, more for your money Cons: sometimes slow service more

good food, bad management 6/21/2007

This is a great restaurant but the manager/owner is not very friendly to the people who pay her salary. She rushes you out and is not very polite about it. This has been an issue for years with her. Too bad because the food and atmospphere is very nice. Pros: great food, and nice place Cons: bad managment, rushed out to seat more people, wants tables turned over more

Wonder Night Out 8/21/2002

This is a small intimate restaurant specializing in seafood and beef. It's pricey and there are very long waits if you don't have reservations, but the food is well worth the wait and price. The perfect place to go for a first date, a special occasion, or just for a fun night with friends. Pros: ample parking, wonderful ambience Cons: expensive, sometimes smoky more
