I second the opinion, all the negative reviewers really need to go back and try Vino e Olio again, the change is remarkable. The food is consistently delightful, warm bowls of pasta, deliciously creamy soups. They even added a small lunch menu with sandwiches. I'm partial to sitting in the outside lounge after work with an italian spritz and a bowl of suppli, these risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella. Two for One drinks until 8pm doesn't hurt either. more

All the people who wrote their negative reviews definitely have to try it again. They apparently went during growing pains. The food was fantastic and the service great. We will come back again. more

Nice place but the food was below par for the design district. Far from Michaels genuine or Driade down the street. Have a drink perhaps. Save your money for another good restaurant. more

This is my favorite place in Miami because it has something on the menu for my every mood. If I'm not that hungry I can sit at the bar grab a drink and have some of the kitchens bar bites (my favorite is the small pizzas) and if I'm starving I can get a 3 or 4 course meal! Everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients which just feels healthier. Needless to say this has become my go-to for practically any and every occasion, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. more

Dining at the chef's table was an unforgettable experience. We had the delightful Chef Andrea to ourselves all evening. Sitting inside the kitchen was a real treat to watch the chefs at work. They created an entire 4 course menu for our party of 4. This is definitely one for the books, definitely a good one to book for clients you're trying to impress or for that special someone. more

I was taken here for a first date and it was a great spot with an intimate feel. We shared an eggplant parm appetizer and then each got a pasta, truly a perfect meal! The waiter was attentive, but gave us space. When we finished our meal we thought we were going to head home, but an amazing DJ started up and we ended up hanging outside in their open air lounge with some awesome mojitos. Go see Charlie the bartender and ask for the basil cocktail... a MUST. more

I get so annoyed with people who say they're disappointed with the food here. It's authentic, it tastes just like it does over in Italy. If you're coming here for Spaghetti and Meatballs like your American mom made when you were little or Penne Vodka you get at every "italian" restaurant, you're going to be disappointed because the chef's not making American Italian food. What he does is truly remarkable, his pastas are cooked to perfection and dishes aren't masked in sauces. He lets the flavors of the ingredients shine through, if you order pasta it's going to taste like pasta, not some cardboard overdone pasta drenched in marinera. If you're looking for a real experience, good people, great wine, and fantastic food go to Vino Olio. If you're looking for fet alfredo, go to the Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. more

I went there for Valentine's day with my boyfriend. I though the special menu was great. The food was tasty, authentic and innovative. The hearts of Burata were incredible. The chef came out and greeted everyone. The place looks and feels nice. I had a great time and will be back more

Very expensive, disappointing food. There are too many amazing restaurants in the Design District that serve affordable, fabulous food. Maybe stop for a drink but don't stay for dinner. more
