Entertainment Book 10/16/2005

With the 2-for-1 dinner deal in the Entertainment Book, dining was a pleasant experience - but even without the discount, I would definitely go there again - the alfredo is a winner! The atmosphere is cozy and romantic - just enough lighting to see your date and what you're eating, but dim enough to offer privacy from the other diners. The service is good too - waiters are attentive and knowledgable about the specials. more

One of Hawaii's better Italian Restaurants 10/5/2005

Verbanos is a nice, small italian restaurant with a good variety on their menu. Their food size is perfect, though I did have leftovers. I was pleasantly surprised by their authentic flavors and it went great with my chardonnay. It was definitely one of the better Italian restaurants on Oahu. My leftovers tasted even better! more

Good Italian 8/20/2005

We enjoy both the King Street and Waialae locations. They’ve spruced up the place from several years ago. They are a spin off from Assaggio’s and the original Castagnola’s, and if you enjoy Assaggio’s, then you will enjoy Verbano. You can order all of the pastas dishes with your choice of sauce. Large portions and small portions are both available. more

Good Italian 7/11/2005

This small restaurant located at the top of Waialae Ave in Kaimuki is a moderately priced fine dining restaurant. The entrées are really rich, Lobster Ravioli, but servings are prepared in manageable proportions. I always feel good after a meal, and not like I ate way too much. The wine selection is good, and the atmosphere is young, fun, and comfortable. It is a nice place to get dressed up informally (Aloha Shirts) and have a quite dinner for 2 or party up to 6. More than that it is a little small in there & you may feel like your dinner party is the only one there. Reservations are recommended. Yum! more
