Being new to Austin, I was looking for a skin care therapist. I have always taken very good care of my skin that included regular facials. Thanks to citysearch, I found Venus DeMarco. Venus has a wealth of experience and knowledge about the skin and its care. She truly loves what she does, and her facials are amazing! I just had my third facial with Venus, and each time I have left with beautiful, glowing skin. Even though my skin was in good condition before finding Venus, the Vie products and their antiaging benefits have taken my skin to the next level. Venus is amazing! She is ""in the moment"" with her massage and touch. My skin was so dehydrated when I discovered her and walked out of my first facial feeling and looking ""moist and dewy""! Progressive treatments, guidance and daily use of phytomer products have me looking younger and recieving daily complements on my skin. Sadly Venus moved from my town to Austin. Venus offers skin care treatments and products that created real results for me!! \r \r I notice a big difference in my skin, but here's how I know other people are noticing too: \r One of my coworkers told me one morning in the office that I looked like I was ""glowing""!!!\r \r I have had two facials, a lymphatic massage treatment, and an exfoliating mask treatment with Venus. I was really impressed with how professional the clinic is, complete with sophisticated equipment, yet I felt very relaxed and comfortable there. I was surprised at how personalized the services were. Venus asked me a series of questions before we even got started. She could tell that I wasn't drinking enough water right off the bat based on my skin, and she was right!! It was like no other facial that I've ever had? started out with foot massage, foot wrap and warming boots that stayed on until the end of the service. The facial massage felt great (included decollete), the products smelled so wonderful too. Venus talked me through each step of the treatment. She was very thorough as she inspected my skin under a magnifying glass and told be about what she was seeing.\r \r I have also started taking care of my skin with the same products that she uses in her office treatments. I didn't feel pressured to buy any product~ you certainly don't have to, but am glad that I did~ Now I give myself a mini-facial twice a day!! It's just part of my routine and I swear doubles for aromatherapy~ best described as a sweet marine breeze!!! When I was 40 I went to Venus for a facial. I was never one to seriously take care of my skin....until I met Venus. She is the most knowledgable aesthetician. After seeing Venus for facials, people would constantly ask me how my skin looked so good. That had never happened before. Her products are amazing. Unfotrunately for me, Venus moved to Austin. I have tried 5 different people for facials since she moved and none have been even close to Venus. I miss her dearly and I miss how fabulous my skin was when I was seeing her. She has provided me with great knowledge & info reguarding the care of my skin,both indoors being a RN & outdoors being an athlete, which I so can relate to being in the medical profession. Her expertise & natural products are the reason my skin is so radiant. One of the things I like about her service, that actually surprised me was that she also gives you a foot & upper body massage during a facial, I have never had that done before, totally adds a nice touch to pampering yourself for a few hours. As a young man I didn't give any thought to my skin . It was just wash with any soap and be on my way. Now, however, being older I realize that I need to (and should have all along) paid better attention to my skin. I certainly don't think it vain for a man to want to look as good as he can! Unfortunately, I never seemed to have found a skin care specialist that I felt I wanted to call for a second appointment. Well, that has changed! A friend recommended Venus and from the first few minutes of talking to her I knew I had found someone who was truly knowledgeable and interested in what was best for me. I admit it, I like to be pampered and she does a great job of that along with giving the most professional treatment. I?ve been having acne problems since I graduated from college 5 years ago. I?ve tried everything my dermatologist recommended, everything my homeopathic doctor told me to do, as well as what two other estheticians prescribed ?and I STILL had problems. I finally decided to resort to the last option, acutane. About a week before my first scheduled acutane treatment, I found out about Venus and after feeling so hesitant about acutane for the last few years, I decided to try the esthetician route one more time. After the first facial, I immediately noticed results. (and canceled my appointment for acutane the next day) Venus also put me on her Phytomer skincare line which really gave amazing results. I have never come across a product line that made such a drastic difference in such a short amount of time. Needless to say, I am so glad and feel so lucky that I have found Venus. She talked to me about my diet and my overall lifestyle and knew right away what kind of facial I needed and also what I needed to change in my daily life. Ok, after a week of enjoying South by Southwest my skin was a dehydrated mess!!!!!! I found Venus on Citysearch(love the name!!!) and she whipped this 40 year old skin into shape. Yowza, I feel like a new woman. Not only is my skin soft and dewy but the massage and heated booties pretty much put me into a heavenly trance. I have had over a dozen facials and none compare to this one. I am so excited to have found her that I am telling everyone I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had heard about Venus through a close friend of mine, I was skeptical about seeing her; I didn't want the typical Esthetician trying to sell me their product and not focusing on their job for the health of my skin. So I went to her with some hesitation because I have had experience with the ""Salesman"" type Esthetician in the past.\r Boy, I found out quickly that I have my hesitation was unwarranted; she's the real deal! I'm a college student on a quest for clear skin (and an exit out of the acne phase of my life). I've had a few facials in the past few years, but all too often, I felt like the estheticians mindlessly rubbed smell-good lotions on my face, zapped a lazer here and there, mumbled some sales pitch about so-and-so products and sent me on my way. Bottom line: they were nice face massages for 20 min, but I never learned about skin care, and my face was just as patchy/blotchy/pimply the next day. I'm writing this review because I was so impressed with Venus' service. She has a true passion for her work, talked me through some of the science (but only the vital stuff!), and maintained an incredibly friendly and personable attitude. But most importantly, my face was pristine afterwards -- it was unbelievably clear for weeks, and I loved it! I highly recommend Venus if you get the chance. I go to her every now and again when I need some skin luxury, and I am continually impressed. Believe me, it's not only about relaxtion, but your face feels so clean and fresh afterwards...you won't be disappointed! more

I want to tell you about a wonderful experience I had yesterday. Venus DeMarco (yes, that is her given name!) has opened a skin care clinic on Medical Parkway. I had a facial yesterday, and it was the best ever! She started with a heated bed, foot massage, heated booties for the feet, shoulder and scalp massage - all before she even went to the face. My face was cleansed, steamed, exfoliated, massaged, masked - it was great! By the time I got out of there, my skin was glowing. Venus has just moved to Austin - she wants to retire here because she fell in love with the city. She has over 25 years experience, so I hope she stays. If anyone is looking for a real treat, I highly recommend her services. Let's keep her in the 'hood....
