Horrid bank...really horrid., The manager at the Saugerties branch is the wicked witch from the east, west, north & south. They have lied, done a bait & switch, have a vile attitude. They made me run around like a chicken without a head and refused to honor a certified bank check that they knew was good because they called the issuing bank. Then the manager who had promised to cash the check and then lied and wouldn't after I drove there 4 times and waited a considerable amount of time each visit lied again and said that she never saw the check, which she did. This bank is no different than any of the big banks. They have a piss poor attitude and beware dealing with them. They are the bank from HELL! more

The Worst 9/23/2010

Bar none, the worst banking experience I've ever had. I recently bought a home and my attorney recommended going with Ulster because I needed to close quickly. Big mistake. They missed every date, in spite of my attorney, home inspector, real estate agent, and everyone else in the process delivering what they needed to deliver ahead of schedule. The most frustrating part was that they missed those dates because their own people just couldn't communicate with each other. I (and my attorney, who at the end of the process was as frustrated as I was) was passed from one department to the next like a hot potato at every step. Nobody at Ulster managed the process. It was always ""oh, well now you have to call Sue... and then Sue would say, oh, bob handles that... and on and on"". And it wasn't just one issue, it was through every single step in the process. Never once did anyone take ownership. Never once did anyone apologize. It was simply horrible. My advice is stay far away from this bank. more
