Being new to town finding a good mechanic is a challenging proposition. I must say we didn't have to look far. My wife and I have brought our car into Tune Tech on a number of different occasions for a number of different reasons. Each time we have been met with not only great service, but a level of honesty that, honestly left us speechless. And in the theme of being honest I must say that is a rarity for me. Minor problems ( a stuck seat belt and a burnt out brake light) were fixed within minutes of stopping by, and get this, at no charge. Recently our brakes began to squeak and squeal prompting us to make an appointment for new brake pads with fingers crossed that was all the diagnosis would turn out to be. We received a call informing us that the culprit was only sand and dirt creating the offending noise and that the brakes still had plenty of life left in them. Again left there paying only a grateful ""thank you"". Astonished maybe a good word to describe the feelings of such a experience, but I must admit it is hard to put into words something of which I have no point of reference. It is not, however, difficult for me to recommend and endorse Tune Tech to any friend or acquaintance, not to mention be a patron for years to come. Thank you Tune Tech for starting a trusting relationship. more

We rented a Budget truck from Tune Tech on State St. on Saturday afternoon. They ""conveniently"" marked on their paperwork that the truck was checked out at 11:59AM (it was actually well into the noon hour). I SPECIFICALLY asked what time we needed to have the truck back the next day and a guy that worked there, named Frank, said ""normally it's the same time the next day, but since it's Sunday we won't even be here, so it doesn't really matter"". The next day we had a little bit more unloading to do, but we weren't in any hurry since Frank told us it didn't matter what time the truck was returned. We dropped the truck off Sunday afternoon around 2. I checked my bank account the next day to see what we were charged, and my card was charged $150 on Saturday, and then $201.52 on Monday! My husband called them and they said that they had the truck checked out at 11:59am, and since it was 2pm (it was now PM and not AM) they could charge for a whole additional day! That means the insurance again, the dolly again, the fees again, etc. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Rent a UHAUL, we will from now on... Cons: They lie to your face and steal your money... pretty big con I'd say! more

I have been going to Tune Tech since I was 16 and first bought my honda. Since I drive an older car, a 92, things do break down, understandably so. They have never overcharged me and have always been polite and informative when discussing my car's issues. When I dont understand something, they explain it a different way so I know what is going on. I lived in Twin Falls for a while and had an aweful experience with a mechanic there. But I can tell you that the boys at Tune Tech do not replace anything that doesn't need it. They are timely on diagnosis, and thorough on the job. HIghly, highly recomended :-) Pros: timely, thorough, polite, intelligent, and fair pricing. Great Service! Cons: small parking lot, but they work around it more

I took my Nissan to have them look at the A/C and maybe replace a belt that had been screeching whenever I started the car. I dropped it off @ 9:30AM, I called @ 2:30 because I hadn't heard anything\r ALL DAY!!!\r When I called someone explained that I would be called back within the hour.. 15 minutes later I got a call from the guy at TuneTech, he says the A/C needs to be recharged and the alternator belt needs to be replaced.. He tells me $252.40!! I explain it's way more than I thought and I'll have to wait ... I go pick up my Nissan, they charge me 44.86 for there Time and Labor and I leave.. I took it straight to a shop my Mother- In- law recommended maybe 1 mile down the road. They charged the A/C, tightened the Alternator belt and they were done in LITTERALLY 20 min....They charged me $83.24!!!!!!\r \r JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS!!\r more
