Tres Jolie Salon

Tres Jolie actually delivered what other salons have only promised. They talked to me, looked at my hair and then gave me the best color and cut I have ever had. Mark was a genius with the color. He saw something in me that perfectly matches all the tones in the color he chose. The way my hair flows and bounces along Benjamin's cut is nothing short of genius. Mark and Benjamin took a tired, fat, old broad and made me look like a movie star. Amazing! What a fantastic and fun experience! All of the staff were super friendly and great fun. I had a blast. My sister and I drove down from Winnipeg for a ""Girlie weekend"". We found Tres Jolie on Citysearch. I was sure I wanted a perm and made an appointment with Don. When we arrived, my hair was flat, long and ugly. My previous cut was 6 months old and wasn't great to start with. It took him approximately a nanosecond to figure out my hair and its potential. He then talked me out of the perm idea (though I admit I was still sceptical) and proceeded to give me the best hairstyle I have ever had! I don't have to fuss with it and it looks great every day! I went to Benjamin for a hair cut a year and a half ago per a recommendation from a friend and am obsessed! He gets it, period. It's like he can read my mind -- but then take what I think I want and make the work for my hair and face. He is trendy, classy, passionate and fun. He transformed my thin, damaged, ""soccer mom bob"" into a current, fresh, youthful and sexy style that perfectly suites my lifestyle and primping routine. Per Benjamin's recommendation I go to Marley for my foils. She is brilliant. My hair has never looked better. Natural, vibrant, dimensional, shiny... I trust her 100%. She is adorable, hilarious, down to earth and I feel like she cares more about making me look my best than I do!! She truly has a gift to color hair! I went to Tres Jolie and had Bryce cut my hair for the first time. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcomed. The women at the front desk were very kind and showed me where everything was. When Bryce was ready for me I sat down in his chair and told him how heavy my hair felt. Right away he told me what he thought would look good with my hair and face and I told him to go for it. Bryce is professional and knows what he is doing. On the same token he is very friendly and open. He made me feel like part of the Tres Jolie family even though we had just met. I haven't had my hair done there,but I got some waxing done, and it was NOT a good job....they missed a bunch of hairs and pulled some of my skin off...SO, maybe hair, waxing....they need a little more training. (it was a little ""uppity"" there too) more

This was my first visit to the salon and it was absolutely great! I scheduled a haircut with Benjamin and the service exceeded my expectations. From the moment I sat in his chair, I had his undivided attention until I walked out of the door. I was very impressed with his knowledge and advice of my hair type/texture (African American) and how to take care of it to restore the softness and fluffiness that I've been missing. I've had a string of bad haircuts over the past year but today's with Jason was wonderful! He took the time to listen to exactly what I liked and didn't like about my current style then talked me through his plan twice to make sure we were on the same page. The style is great, exactly what I was looking for! On top of that, he walked me through how to style my hair like a pro so it will look awesome even when I do it myself. Such a great experience! I loved the haircut that Benjamin gave me. I had specifically asked for his appointment after reading all the good reviews online. He gave me great advice on what would look good on me considering my skin tone, hair color and age. I wanted to go short but he explained the consequences of a dramatic change and gave me some very good insight. He also gave some practical styling tips for work days. I can style my hair salon-like even at home with those tips without spending a lot of time. He recommended the use of BB products and they work like magic. I'm very happy with them. The salon overall has a very good appeal. The staff is extremely helpful and very polite. The only con I could think of was the noise. But I guess that happens in an uptown salon on a Sat afternoon. Anyone who is looking for a salon and stylist (actually masters) to give them the freshest and hottest hair in town - definitely visit Tres Jolie! No matter how many times Bryce & Mark 'craft' my hair - I love it. It's never dull, boring or pass?. The crew there really knows how to please their customers. You'll never feel intimidated, they welcome you with a smile and you leave with hugs - and best of all, a fabulous 'do'. I've referred friends and family and all have loved their experience. It's only fair to first admit that after reading the reviews for Tres Jolie, my expectations for the salon were probably bordering unachievable. Little did Bryce know that the skepticism was high when I sat in his chair Saturday morning. After a thoughtful consultation about my lifestyle and how it impacts my hair and what I need my hair to do, Bryce delivered a masterful cut that took into consideration my facial structure, hair thickness and texture. After leaving the salon I reflected back realizing that not only was he extremely thorough in providing me all the insight and education I wanted, he had also managed to make a strong personal connection with me. Amazing. For me, a true test of the ""hair experience"" always unfolds the dreaded day after when I am entrusted to wash and style my hair in the hope of replicating the look created for me. Again, success!! No credit to me - all credit to Bryce. This genius also extends to the entire staff who are an amazing breath of fresh and positive air. I have been a long-time client of both Mark and Matthew and have followed them to several salons over the years. They settled at Tres Jolie a couple years ago and I have fallen in love with the salon as well. Front desk staff are superb and efficient, and they truly are interested in taking care of you. Mark and Matthew are hands down the MOST down-to-earth guys I have ever met and are true masters at what they do. After a cut/color, I am harassed by random people in the elevator daily, demanding to know who I see and how soon they could get in. The guys are meticulous in their work, always seeking further education on new techniques and products via seminars (Hello?! Who does that in this day and age?!), and make me laugh until I pee my pants. They are edgy and modern and do not rest on the styles of 5 years ago as a ""go-to"" look. If you play your cards right, you'll get a bottomless glass of wine and a boat load of dirty jokes too. I love them both and cannot speak highly enough of the caliber of service you receive, although the price can occasionally give you heart palpitations. From the the atmosphere to the stylists, -everything here is top notch. The work they do is meticulous and always perfect. I have never been to another salon that does this kind of consistent A+ work! If you are looking for a place to go you've found it in Tres Jolie. I moved here from Michigan a year and a half ago. I have very long, very thick hair, and it takes a special hand to tame it :) I did a google search to find a good salon and stumbled upon Tres Jolie. I am so glad I did!! Gina does an amazing job with my hair, and the pampering is the best part! It always starts with a de-stress scalp massage and a good cup of coffee for me. They use the best products here, and I always get in a good (and sometimes very interesting) conversation. No forced small talk like some other places... Gina always makes me feel like I'm her favorite customer, and my hair always looks fantastic. They'll take all the time they need too. Last time I got the last appointment of the day, and I was there for an hour and half! The prices are very reasonable (be aware that there is a sliding scale, so check the price for your stylist your first time), and always more than worth the experience! Thank you Gina!! I requested Benjamin based on the great reviews he recieved on the site. From the very first visit, it was clear I had found a great salon with an awesome stylist. I purchased a color from Mark and a haircut from Benjamin at a charity auction. I was in the process of letting an ""unfortunate"" color grow out. As luck would have it, my appointment with Mark was the evening of the first snow of the season. My 20 minute drive was 2 hours, making me an hour late for the appointment.
