Tranquility Day Spa

I found this spa online. I wanted to surprise my mother with a spa package. When I called to inquire about scheduling appoitments the receptionist on the phone explained to me that I could purchase a gift card over the phone for the service amount plus tip (optional) . I was talked out of just paying for it the day of the service. After I spent over $200 dollars they than asked me if I could set up the appoitments for her day package since limited time was available. I did this. We live out of state and dont get the opportunity to visit Columbus regulary. I was explained I had two years to use the gift card. I set up all the appoitments and had her scheduled to come in at 12pm on that wednesday. I dropped my mother off at the spa on that wednesday and they had no records of my scheduled appoitments and could not squeeze me in . This I did not understand because there were about 5 employees sitting in the lobby.. leaving us nowhere to sit. They asked if i wanted to reschedule not having time i politely said no and wanted my money back. I was told that I could not have my money back because it was put on a gift card and they can not refund my money. I was very upset because on the phone I was talked into buying a gift card. The recpetionist was not helpful and explained to me that there was nothing she could offer me because she wasnt the owner. I asked for the owners name and was told that she was not able to provide that information for me. Needless to say I would not recommend this salon to anyone. Seems as if they are more interested in your money than providing a relaxing environment for their clients. VERY DISAPOINTED! more

I found the spa on line. I am new to the area and wanted to fina a spa in which to relax. I will not return. The "spa" was not really a spa, but a small hair salon. It was loud and the odors form the producrts were not a good experience. I am disapointed, wasted my time and will nto return. more

I have had several facials at Tranquility (with Abby) and found that to be a fantastic experience ! The pedicure was not worth what they charged ! I paid for their hour long pedicure and it lasted only 40 sum minutes and the massage that was suppose to go along with the pedicure consisted of rubbing lotion on your legs for maybe a minute. more

Cold, harsh, not friendly. This is a slaon masking as a spa. Wehn, when, when, will a true day spa open in the area? \r When can I go to a day spa and experience true relaxation and luxury. \r OMG, I hate the smell of toluene and hair spray!!! more

I have been going to Tranquility now for about 10 years and it has always been one of my favorites, however as of late I have noticed that it isnt quite what it used to be. As a cost cutting measure it appears as though they have stopped setting out granola bars which doesnt seem like much but was something to look forward to while you waited or had a pedicure. Also the drinks are now being served in white styrofoam cups which is odd. Bottles of water are no longer available either. Pros: Beautiful facility Cons: Disapearing amenities, changing stuff more

I have had hundreds of facials and I think this is my favorite place to get them. The estheticians are thorough and they seem to have a real desire to make my face look as good as possible. I love this spa. I have gotten multiple facials there and have always had a great experience. I've even had my esthetician call to check-up on a treatment after my visit! I also had the best pedicure there! I highly recommend it! Pros: Great Facials and Pedicures! Cons: A little pricey more

The staff at Tranquility seems to change a lot, but maybe that's the nature of the business. I've used their services on and off for a number of years. Erin is not there, so I followed her to her new place, Salon Lofts/Grandview. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere Cons: Erin no longer works there more

Erin was AMAZING. I have no idea why she is no longer here. This is a really nice spa! The atmosphere is awesome, and very relaxing. The oxygen facial is incredible, especially if you tend to suffer from dry skin. However, I don't buy their products because I don't like them. I had a bad reaction to the products I bought, as well as the sample products. Not sure why but I've never had a bad reaction with their facials, just the products they sell. Unless they don't use the products they sell? I know, it's weird, lol. I had a facial last week and had to try a a new girl since my regular girl doesn't work there anymore (very surprised by this). I really didn't care too much for the girl that did my facial. My skin didn't look any different! I don't think I will be going back. I gave this spa a great review because it's a great place, but without Erin it's just not the place for me. If anyone knows where she is working please post. She was a total asset! I have gone here a few times before services were okay, girls were nice, but every time I found someone I liked going to they ended up leaving or being fired. Never knew what happened to them they would just try to switch me to someone else. A high rate of turnover is not a good sign in my opinion( even the girls up front change constantly). Tranquility Day Spa is hands down the best spa in Columbus. The most inviting spa I have ever been to. The customer service is outstanding and all of the services are amazing. When you enter the spa you automatically relax the spa decor is beautiful and I love all of the extra goodies they offer defiantly try the house tea it is wonderful. I have received several services at Tranquility and LOVED all of them. The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all products and services they offer. I recommend this spa to all of my friends and family. Best manicures and pedicures in town. Try Tranquility you will not be disappointed. Everyone is extremely nice from the first moment you walk in. The first time I was a client I was walked through every step that was going to happen before it did so I wouldn?t freak out?lol. I love my pedicures and manicures they have a wide range of colors to choose from. I also get my facials done here and would not go anywhere else. I made a reservation at Tranquilty on may 31st for an hour and a half couples massage for father's day for my husband and i. The appt was for the 16th, saturday. I planned to have a sitter for 6 hours (which was difficult to get at 1:30 in the afternoon until the early evening.) My plan was to surprise my hubby with the massage and then go to dinner, i had made reservations at 5pm after the massage. The massage was scheduled for 2:30 (i'd rather had not had it so early but i was told that to fit in the 1.5 hour massage i needed to have it scheduled no later than 2:30.) b/c the shop closes at 5pm on saturdays. I was also told come at/around 2:15 to fill out the necessary paperwork beforehand. Pros: good location Cons: bad service all around more

I've been to Tranquility for manicures, pedicures, massages and waxing. All services were fabulous. I was very pleased. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and are skilled at what they do. more

The spa is beautiful and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. I have tried almost every service and have not had a bad experience. The experience is so relaxing that I fall asleep every time I have a facial or body treatment :o) Pros: Relaxing more

I highly recommend this spa, as I went yesterday with my mom and we had a fabulous afternoon! The entire space is very "tranquil" and extremely clean. The staff are very nice and very helpful. Decour is beautiful and really adds to the experience. Ask for Melissa when you get a massage and Mandi for a facial!!! This is by far the best spa I have ever been to. It has this great little room called the tranquil room where you wait for your service. (which I think could be a spa treatment because it is so relaxing) I get pedicures once a month there and I have also had many of the other services they offer. Megan is great and so is Anna, but to tell you the truth you can't go wrong with anyone. By far one of the most inviting spa I have ever been to. Try it out, you'll see what mean. I highly recommend this place to get a facial and your nails done. I went here before being in a wedding and the lady who did my facial was so good. she used her time efficiently (best bang for you buck) and used the new australian mud product line they have (which is a bit too pricey). this was my first time getting my nails done and a different lady did it and was really quick but good. the only thing was that they used very generic nail polish brand. more

i love this place! whenever i need a treat i head here for some rest and relaxation. a great top notch place with gorgeous treatment rooms and waiting areas. more
