Unique! 4/9/2006

TJ’s is known as the “unique grocery store”. That it is! I love to find fun new meal ideas here. There are lots of specialty items at great prices. There is a large wine section and cheese section. There are also lots of yummy and healthy frozen meal components in the frozen section. I love the lettuce wraps and the teriyaki BBQ chicken. Be sure to check out the pet section (my cats love the Tuna for Cats) and the cookies that you can only get here. more

Great, unique grocery store! 4/5/2006

I love Trader Joe's, both for things that are hard to find at mainstream grocery stores, and more ordinary things. For the selection of gourmet things that they carry, you would think that their prices would be high. Not so - everything is very reasonably priced and I love the atmosphere of the store. They have great deals on wine - I will often pick up a couple of bottes of "three buck Chuck: (Charles Shaw wine for $2.99) just to keep on hand for everyday table wine. It's not half bad! more

great grocery for quirky foodstuffs 3/27/2006

Trader Joe's is a fun place to shop. The worst thing may be fighting for a parking spot in the busy parking lot. The atmosphere of the store is fun. The employees wear Hawaiian shirts, there is a bit of tropical decor. Every time I've gone they've had samples of something. They have unique sauces and condiments that are very reasonably priced. The dark chocolate covered pretzels are wonderful! They have a nice selection of unusual cheese that is inexpensive. I always buy my cooking chocolate here as they have a good variety. I also buy maple syrup, gnochini, and nuts here. It's a fun place to shop. more
