Ordered from Tower Style Pizzeria late last night. Worst delivery service ever - the delivery guy had NO sense of direction and did not have a GPS. Tried directing him where to go and he could not find the house. Called the store location after 1.5 hours waiting, and the guy was VERY rude on the phone with me. Kept hanging up one me and assured me food was on the way. Delivery guy finally finds my house 2 hours later, was cursing and rude. Food was cold, fries were soggy and nothing was good. Will never order from here again. more

Was supposed to arrive 1:15...just arrived, all food cold, ice cream melted, the driver had to go back to his car 3 times for other parts of the order he had forgotten. more

Absolutely horrible. I am not one to complain about a place but this was rediculous. The order was supposed to come between 1:35-1:45 and it came at 2:45. I called the place at 2:00 to ask if the food was still coming and the person on the phone told me that it had just gone out which was 20 minutes after the food was supposed to already by at my house. The pizza came cold like it was made the day before and it tasted horrible. The only reason this place is still in business is because they are open late. Thats it. Avoid at all cost. more

cheese fries were solid (cheez wiz though), cheesesteak was great, but the salad was drowned in way too much dressing. got soggy/unappealing. beware!!!!111 more

If giving this place ZERO stars was possible, I'd do it. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Baltimore and we ordered a medium cheese pizza and cheese fries (Yes, we'd been drinking, and yes... we love cheese) Well an HOUR AND A HALF LATER our food showed up to our B&B (3 or 4 blocks from this pizza place) The driver only came up a few steps, forcing me to walk outside in my bare feet and pajama pants, and he was just so unfriendly, which... would be fine if the food was good. It was not. It was ice cold, the pizza crust can be compared to a saltine without the salt, the sauce was non-existent, and the cheese was so cold and tasteless it might as well have not been there. The soggy fries were almost warm, but still on the cold side (I think the nacho cheese was keeping them warm? unclear...) Quick bad food is one thing, slow good food is another... This place in a league all of its own... Slow Bad Food... skip it if you have the chance. more

I was very displeased with the service and food from Tower Pizza. When I ordered, the delivery time was about 45 minutes. When the 45 minute mark came and went I called them and was told "the driver was on his way." 45 minutes after that (now an hour and a half after order time) I called again and said my food was not yet here and was told he would be here very soon. (Note: I am less than 1.5 miles from their location.) When I finally got the food, the pizza was cold and was the quality of a frozen pizza- seemed like a pre-made crust rather than dough that was stretched. The cherry on top was the fact that the driver parked at the other end of my block, so I had to walk down the street to retrieve my crappy food from him. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Tower Pizza... ever. more

Ordered a white pizza, curly fries, and two sodas at 12am and it took almost 2 hours to be delivered a mile away. RIDICULOUS. Pizza was cold and hard as a rock, fries were cold and way soggy. I'll never waste my money here again. Worst. Food. Ever. more

the most disgusting food ever....stay clear! not only was i berated when checking in on my order which was 2 hours late, was then hung up on! then when the food arrived, the surly, obnoxious delivery driver basically told me to f*ck off...grubhub was aware of all of this and were so accommodating...then i bring the "food" up to my flat...my dog wouldn't even touch it and that says a lot because he eats EVERYTHING!!....it should just be shut down...one of the worst experiences and food ever... more

After getting a terrible order just an hour earlier from another establishment I ordered from here and was thrilled. The food came twenty minutes earlier than projected. The falafel was SO. GOOD. Fries were crisp and just salty enough. 100% pleased. more

We only live a mile away and placed an order with them. 2 hours later we call asking for an update on our delivery and the guy answering phones yells at me that he never confirmed the order. We were never told and I currently have a charge on my account for said order. more

A place to avoid 1/3/2008

Where to start, the pizza is very greasy, cheep quality of food as far as i noticed, the employees seen that they don't like to take showers, no air conditioning during the summer, AVOID this place you won't be sorry Cons: Too many to post on here more

Loved the pizza 8/25/2007

This is by far the best pizza by the slice we'd ever had. We took a chance on this place while walking the city during our visit and we lucked into a killer place. Thanks for the awesome pizza and service. Pros: awesome tasting food at a great price more

Wings maybe? Pizza is a NO! 5/24/2007

The pizza was doughy, the cheese was that typical cheap mozzarella, there was almost no sauce, and they call a 14"" pie a large.\r I had the Wings, they were breaded, no sauce on them, they put it on the side, I will say that they were tasty, but generic, and they were so hot they melted through the styrofoam container they were in... gross.\r \r I highly DO NOT reccomend this more

The Boys at Tower 11/3/2002

Tower is one of the great neigborhood pizzerias of Philadelphia. It is one of the few places in Philly where the service staff actually smiles when they are handing you your change. In terms of the food, the offering is pretty wide. They have pizza, stromboli, steaks, wings, etc. I stuck with the pizza because, hey, it's ""Tower Pizza,"" right? So about the pizza... it is my personal favorite in Philly, but it isn't for everyone. The crust is on the thick side, but crispy on the bottom. The cheese and toppings are plentiful, but unfortunately, so is the grease. If you want to stick to a rigorous diet, avoid this place like the plague, but if you are looking for a treat, come give the boys at Tower a visit. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Greasy Pizza, Service with a smile, Good value (cheap!) Cons: Greasy Pizza, Small, tacky interior more
