Websites aren't that expensive..... 4/18/2008

No offense but I am a very loyal client of Toni & Guy and it is sad to see some salon using them for their website. Toni & Guy is a world renowned company full of amazing and very well educated people. I am a businessman ....so....it would probably seem fit for this triangle salon with good music and wine...(no offense but that is scary if that is all they have to offer)....to get their own website. I can see a few reviews below that these are a few fellow employees and only makes sense to make others aware, but now you are dogging a salon that is in a mall....so because of the mall it makes a bad salon. So if you are down for good music and wine....go see these folks that were taught the right way...not saying anything bad about them, but if you want some seriously awesome hair that is continuously being revamped by the newest styles....I have a couple of people to go see that I like...and yes grant it a few of the people i used to see are no longer there....I have found a great love for this place and Victoria and just recently Kitty(from dallas) have done my color and it is nothing less than amazing. And Sig and Stewart have given me some of the newest styles to keep me fresh.. I love you guys I am not going anywhere!!!!!!!!!! more

It's sad to see they're losing good stylists 4/16/2008

I've been to T&G in the Barton Creek mall a few times now and aside from a few amazing stylists, the experience wasn't that great. They obviously invest time and energy in training their stylists but recently, I realized the same thing the last poster did, that my favorite stylist and colorist (Megan and Bonnie) left after they shipped the whole staff out the the Lakeline Mall. \r \r I found them both at a salon in the Triangle. I got a cut and color last weekend and it was the best experience ever. The atmosphere is MUCH more relaxed than it was at the mall, they played great music and even served me a complimentary glass of wine.\r \r The pricing is the same but now I don't have to deal with mall traffic, hectic parking and ditzy receptionists. Pros: Good stylists Cons: Mall traffic, difficult to park on weekends, very small waiting area, too many people working in one salon. more

I found Rebekah elsewhere 4/10/2008

I use to go to Rebekah at Toni&Guy @ barton creek mall but i recently discovered that she has left. At first I freaked out because she is the best stylist I ever had....no joke!! However I found her through a friend at the Triangle in a salon called Salon Intuitions. I had to come on here and let everyone know so that no goes missing out on a great cut!!! Turns out there are a few other stylist there to from T&G. At any rate...the cuts are great and the salon is absolutely amazing!!! Pros: best cut ever and do not have to go to the mall more

Best men's cut I have ever had 10/2/2007

As a guy with thick wavy hair who cares about his appearance, it has been really hard finding a good salon/stylist. Granted, I have not tried all of the high end salons in Austin, but once I found Grace at Toni&Guy I have never felt the need to go anywhere else. \r I'm pretty sure Grace is the top stylist for men at this location, and she is renown for being able to closely mimic celebrity hairstyles. From the first day I went, I got the feeling they try to cater to the type of lifestyle I live, and cut/style my hair accordingly - which is great. They take the time to talk to you about what you expect from a haircut, how you wear your hair normally, what products you use, etc. \r The clientele of this place is generally people who expect more than just a simple ""Supercuts"" cut - which is expected of a high end salon. And from what I can see people get up from their cuts looking and feeling great. I also feel like T&G cuts have more of a ""personality"" than other places. It's like the stylists are trained to see the potential of your hair and can help you step outside the box to have a new, unique style you will love. \r Some of my dislikes: the fact that the salon is in the mall doesn't bother me, but they have a fairly small space. The waiting area is very small, and not very comfortable. A bigger space with some comfortable chairs/couches and more literature would be great. Also, the front desk staff can be a bit cold at times, but it's not a huge bother. The prices are certainly on the high side, but again, this is to be expected of a salon of this caliber. \r To recap: After finding Grace at Toni&Guy, my search for a stylist is over. She even encourages me to come in every other week in between haircuts to get my hair textured and styled... at no charge! I consider that very good customer service and loyalty. Seeing how satisfied I was with this place, my girlfriend has decided to start coming here as well (with Stewart) and she couldn't be happier with the results. Pros: Skill of stylists, attention to detail Cons: Waiting area more

Go See Rebecca 1/12/2007

I was referred to Rebecca by a coworker who has used her for years and whose hair ALWAYS looks cute. Rebecca did a great job and I have been back to her several times. She's fast and she's good and my haircut usually looks good for 6-8 weeks before I notice it's time to schedule another appointment, which is amazing because it's barely shoulder length. I usually call the same day or just a day or two before and have never had any problems. I will continue to use Rebecca even though I live in Round Rock. It is well worth the drive! Pros: Rebecca, Easy to get in Cons: A little pricey, parking isn't always convenient more

Best Haircut of my life 7/24/2006

I just got the best haircut of my life here. Yes, it is on the pricey side and the staff do try to sell products. However, Vincent is an incredible stylest and makes you feel totally comfortable. \r \r I didn't bring in a picture but wanted a big change. When he was near the end of the cut, he asked what I thought and I asked him to change the cut a little. Well, he did exactly what I asked and I've never been more happy with a cut (I didn't even bring in a picture!)\r \r This guy knew all about my hair and gave me all kinds of advice on how to take care of it.\r \r Well worth every penny! Pros: Friendly staff. Give you what you ask for! Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Non-snooty! Cons: It is pricey! more

Why bother 9/2/2003

Although they advertise that walk-ins are welcome, I was never able to walk in and receive any kind of service. Once I finally scheduled an appointment, I was extremely disappointed. The cut itself was mediocre. My ""stylist"" left in the middle of my blow-out to cut another customer's hair, leaving me with the shampoo tech. Although Toni and Guy salons are notorious for product-pushing, I was still surprised at how aggressive they were. You can't pay your bill until you've been pressured by the stylist and receptionist to buy several products. I will not return. Pros: Convenient Location Cons: Poor Quality, Rude Service, Aggressive Sales more
