Tomas was referred to my by a friend that used him as her photographer several years ago. When I visited his office I was immediately impressed by the pictures that were displayed in his beautiful office. He has traveled around the state and the world taking beautiful pictures. My Fiance and I signed up with Tomas without hesitation. We had our first portrait session and was very pleased with the pictures, Tomas made us so comfortable, the pictures are beautiful and fun. On our wedding day, Tomas was already part of our family. His genuine kindness and passion for what he does is refreshing. Tomas worked all day, never loosing his smile, always very patient and very accommodating. When we received the pictures from our wedding we were overwhelmed with happiness, they are beautiful, but we did not expect any less. Tomas is a very,very passionate photographer, a kind person and very talented. We could not be happier with the service and the end results. As the years pass we have the most beautiful pictures to reflect on and Tomas to thank for them. more

Tomas is a great photographer, very talented, etc. but it's been 4 years since I've gotten married and I got my wedding album after 2 years and still have yet to receive my montage - which is why I went with him in the first place. I am very disappointed in their lack of customer service or appreciation. They've now teamed up with A&A Video. Tomas is now Nico Photography, but you'll probably never get him, he'll send his brother or other training photographers. They're unbelievably expensive, they're not even worth getting especially since you'll be lucky if you get what you paid for! more

Before I hired my photographer I did some research and Tomas Ramos was highly recomended by my bussiness partner who use him for their wedding in France. This photographer have a track record that goes back to the early 80's and have been taking weddings all over the world and to my suprise he is one of the best known photographer in Europe with articles in almost every magazine.\r \r He was also the photographer who introduce the first coffe table books in the USA by Graphistudio and lectures all over the Globe.\r \r I am skeptical about a bad review when he have such a global influence and praised so much by the global press. I was very satisfied and the attention to detail is extreme, he won't give you his final work unlees he is satisfied with it.\r \r I more

I am sick and TIRED after 2 yrs of waiting for my album for all their SORRY EXCUSES!!! It's one thing after another with these people. We spent over 10,000 with them, paid them in FULL in the beginning, and I'm about to celebrate my 2yr anniversary without my pictures!!!!! They have moved twice, numbers have changed too.....I think they are just a SCAM!!! They will show you great images to lure you in but PLEASE BEWARE, they can NEVER fulfill any PROMISE they make to their clients. Pros: lies to you in his office more

We used Tomas for our wedding a few years back in Houston. It took over a year to the get the album, and over 2 years for the cinematography dvd, which was extremly sloppy. After several emails and phone calls to Tomas, he called back one time and agreed to remake the dvd,... but we still havent received it. I have called and called, and emailed at least 100 times, and no response. It almost seems too long to care anymore. Had I not spent so much money, I would have given up trying to get a hold of him. Tomas Ramos took our wedding photos almost 10 years ago. Amazing experience and work! His brother, Michael Ramos, partook in the shoot and did our engagement. They are truly pioneers in photojournalism and weddings and they have been doing it for decades all over the world. I have referred all my loved ones to him. I recently tracked him down for one of my best friends wedding and to see if he could shoot mine and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary ceremony to renew our vows. Apparently such a talented artist that he is, it is tough to be a one man show. Like a very nice 5 course meal, I don't think you should expect fast food type service for the type of art you get from Tomas Ramos. It is VERY rare that anyone would not receive anything from Tomas at all! In all the years that he is in business it has all been very good feedback. It is odd for me to see the recent complaints on here and I felt compelled to write in and tell you to please feel free to contact him directly versus slandering his good name and quality work. We had out portrait session in Venice and he guided us thru the city and he is extremely well known in Europe and in short words we had a incredible experience plus he show us were he spend his time one hour north of venice at the Graphistudio book factory were he have been working for 9 years more

I used Tomas to photograph my wedding and my two children since. I cannot say I agree with the negative feedback . He, number one is the most talented photographer in Houston and his pictures are outstanding. Tomas travels extensively, which is known by brides when the select him through his photos. This may be a reason for slow response, but the albums, pictures and his genuine kindness overrides this. If you are looking for a genuine talent Tomas is The photographer. Paid a ton of money for this photographer. Everything seemed to go well during wedding (4Q 2008). Got the raw images from him (wasn't very impressed for the money spent) but we chose him because of the albums he had shown in the office. Never heard from him again. Tons of e-mails and phone calls....turns out he just disappeared off the scene.....basically stole our money. I am out of town so I can't just visit him. Looking into getting a lawyer to get our money back. Its over a year later and no albums to show anyone from the wedding. Pros: Nice Guy Cons: Everything else more

my husband and i used tomas when we got married in houston and was utterly disappointed with the quality of service and extremely slow turnaround time after we paid off our balance. don't expect them to return your phone calls/emails, until (if you're even lucky) months later and this is only if you've tried tracking them down countless times via calls, emails, and more calls.\r \r i felt that the lack of attention and service paid to our finished product is a reflection of how they view the customer after the payment is received. he will present a great portfolio to you but beware that the final product is nowhere close to what he has very selectively shown you. I wouldn't even give this guy one star but CitySearch makes you give a rating. Tomas is a talented photographer- however his brother is not. Tomas did our engagement session and we got some great photos out of it. However his brother Michael did our wedding and we were so disappointed by the pictures! With the amount of money we spent we expected professional and unique photos. What we got was posed and terrible quality photos. Peoples' heads were cut off, the photos weren't centered and there was nothing special about the photos. It was bad and it makes me upset to think I had such hope for my wedding photos and they turned out like crap. I can NEVER get that day back. Tomas is terrible at returning phone calls and emails. Do yourself a big favor and keep searching..... Don't leave your special day in the hands of this man, you will be disappointed!! He will promise you the moon, and he doesn't deliver. I had to get an attorney involved to get my pictures!! And they weren't anything to special. End product was pathetic! Pros: Everything he shows you is great... When my husband and I came across Tomas work we were overwhelmed by his ability to captivate such beautiful pictures!! He is incredibly artistic. We knew we wanted Tomas to be our wedding photographer since our meeting with him. He has a huge passion for his profession and he demonstrates it through his pictures. He made our photo sessions fun and enjoyable! Never a dull moment! We still have another photo shoot and anxiously await for the day. Since the wedding we have gotten such wonderful feedback on the pictures. Tomas has gone above and beyond for us. Misty has also done an exceptional job and we appreciate her devotion as well.
