I am a Lady who is undergoing Chemotherapy and losing my hair. I asked my oncologist if he could recommend a place to get a wig. He told me about Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown. I went there and was greeted by a warm and caring staff. I was taken care of by Phyllis and she was very knowledgeable about wigs. She answered all my questions. I then chose a wig which was fitted and styled for me. It turned out to be an informative and nice experience. I feel that is the place to go if you need a wig!!!! more

I was born with alopecia, My Mom found Tiffany Wigs and Phyllis in 1973. I was only four when I started going to Phyliis and she has been wonderful from day one. I now have been a customer of Tiffany Wigs for 37 years. Phyllis has kept me in all the up to date styles. more

My wife needed a wig because of hair loss due to chemotherapy. Our health insurance company told usto go to Tiffany Wigs. in Yorktown. They were an in-network provider for them. We called for an appointment and went up to see them. My wife chose a wig and it was fitted for her. Tiffany Wigs billed my insurance company. It did not cost us any money. We were well takien care of by Phyllis. She did a terrific job in tellilng us all about the wigs. We highly recommend Tiffany Wigs! more

A good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer and was told that due to chemotherapy she would be losing her hair. She was devastated at the news. She was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful collection of wigs and more importantly a caring staff that treated her with much respect and dignity. I have been walking around in a fog since i was diagnosed with breast cancer. One of my worst fears is that i will lose my hair from the chemo-therapy. I have to say that TIFFANY WIGS is the one and only place to go If you have lost or are going to lose your hair due to chemo therapy or any other medical reason. Phyllis and Steve are the nicest, most caring people that I have ever encountered. I was treated with such kindness. I can't even begin to tell you what a pleasure it was to deal with such nice people plus I look like I did before, even better In fact much better. FABULOUS ! GREAT! I'm so glad I found Tiffany Wigs. My insurance company told me all about them. I wasn't sure they could make me look as good as before the operation & radiotherapy, but they did. I was about to quit until they gave me back my good looks (and in time for the holidays) ! PHYLLIS was honest, patient and kind: she made it all happen ! Do not and I mean DO NOT! give this store one penny of your money, time don't even waste your gas to get there. The store is useless! The service is useless. The women Phylis can't fit hair nor can she cut hair. She can't even make a proper cut!!!!!On a wig. She does not know how to hold a sissor! Her demenor is awful. Yes I am the sister from staten Island and I beg of you not to shop here you would be wasting your money! Go to Adam and Eve one hour away in Scarsdale. They are professional, welcoming, carning and sensitive. THIS STORE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!!!! And if you should go there to buy a wig from Tiffany she will try to sell you two wigs and you only need one and she will also tell you she will sell you two setheic wigs and bill your insurance company for one real wig! I am the lady who was in Tiffany Wigs on Saturday-Dec.4,2010, when Michelle Z and her sister Josephine came in. I had to write this and praise the owner for not losing her temper and asking Josephine and her sister Michelle to leave the store. The sisters' were the most obnoxious and rudest people that I haaave ever seen. It seems that they were not able to cope with one of themhaving to go through chemo therapy and having to lose her hair. The owner was very caring and patted one of them on the shoulder in a gentle manner. She was told rudly to remove her hand. I'm sorry that Michelle Z. is going to lose her hair but the owner was only trying to help. She should not blame anyone for her condition. Her sister was also very obnoxious and rude. I felt sorry for the owner and priase her for her patience. I am also going through chemo and lost my hair. I bought a beautiful wig at Tiffany Wigs and I would highly recommend them foor being acommadating and knowledgeable. Thank You-Tiffany Wigs more

My best friend my sister who will never go through anything with out me beside her and it is a good thing I was with her today day or she good have been eaten up by a completely insane, inhumane person named PHYLIS. I never in my life EVER thought we would have to endure such aggravation as we did today. I travel two hours to be with my sister just to hold her hand. through these tough times of battle the beginning of cancer. This woman named PHYLIS is not a ""wonderful person"" or nor a ""Sunshine day at Tiffany Wigs"". It is truly DEPRESSING, APPALLING, INSULTING, AGGRAVATING AND TRULY NO ONE HAS EVER MAN HANDLED ME BEFORE ANY WHERE AND SHE PUT HER HANDS ON ME MORE THAN ONCE. She insulted my sister more than once that it caused me to say to her my sister is not dieing don't talk to her in such a derogatory manor. DO NOT SHOP HERE! It was our first place we went to. We learned from other salons you don't need to be miss treated, insulted. and always be treated with sensitivity and humanly. She should not be in this field. Today was my follow up appointment to pick up my wig. It was totally devastating. It is appalling when you are trusting someone with you hair and you being manipulate, insulted, treated inhumanly and taken advantage of. Today was the first time I truly felt like a cancer patient. She made me feel I like I was dying and I really didn't matter. She suggested that I she cut my hair when there is no sign of it falling out. She was threatening in her manor, suggesting that I was out of time and there were no alternatives. No one should ever have to go through what I went through today - the owner of the shop was demeaning, selfish, insensitive and absolutely out of her mind crazy. After a half hour of insults my sister and I walked out along with another customer who was listening waiting to be helped. They gave us back our deposit on our credit card. The owner of the shop was not only verbally abusive but got physical as well. She put her hands on both me and my sister to get out of her way. I would NEVER RECOMMEND that anyone go to this shop for any service. There are definitly other places to go and shop! In one hour we found another place that treated us with respect and professionalism. (In Westchester) You have options, don't settle. Get the most professional help you can find. Tiffany Wigs is not the place to go when your going ready to lose your hair. This woman is completely evil!!! more

Tiffany wigs is the best thing that has happened to my family i have two aunt's that had cancer.the chemo is helping but were losing there hair fast. we went to many different shops and we felt rushed and there was not many choices for African American woman. Tiffany wigs wasn't like that the people there were the best the selection there was huge and they made my aunt feel like family. i recommend Tiffany wigs to everybody. my aunt's are so happy now that they don't have to feel like someone is looking at them funny. once again thank you Tiffany wigs more

Being diagnosed with any kind of cancer is a painful experience, but I tried my best to make the recovery journey a positive one. When I walked into Tiffany Wigs, I was greeted by Steve's warm smile. Steve later introduced me to Phyllis, a wonderfully compassionate hairstylist extraordinaire! Phyllis provide me with guidance to the styles and choices suited for me. I came on to look up Tiffany Wigs to share my positive experience with other women with hair loss. Most of the comments agreed with my experience. I was very shocked to read one that totally went against anything I have seen or how I have been treated with Phyllis. I have suffered from hair loss for many many years. I have been to the best in NYC as well as tried many in other areas. I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars and much embarrassment dealing with some establishments who did not understand or respect my privacy and my distress over my condition. When I called to set the appt with her she eased alot of my fears. When I got there and was greeted and spoke to her she erased all of them. She had the most beautiful wigs I have seen and regretably I have seen and worn many. When she fitted me I felt my age and pretty again. More important she made me comfortable and secure in the enviroment. Hair loss for any reason is difficult to say the least. That in combination of an illness can be devastating. I have seen and heard on my few visits her interactions with clients and am even more impressed. I'd reccomend anyone to see her. I have become such a fan that my doctors were so impressed with my hair and its natural look that they now reccomend her. Bravo Phyllis for being there for us all !!! I called and made an appointment. When I went to Tiffany Wigs I felt that Phyllis was very understanding and she put me at ease. Tiffany Wigs checked my insurance coverage and found I was completely covered for the cost of the wig. As an in-network provider, they took care of billing the insurance company and there was no out of pocket expense for me. Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown Heights was a wonderful experience. I went to Tiffany Wigs before I began chemotherapy and I was very upset at the prospect of losing my hair. Phylis was so gracious and caring and understood the pain I was going through. She spent time educating me on the different types of wigs (synthetic hair, human hair, hand tied,etc). I tried on multiple wigs and settled on a hair color and style close to my own hair.My brother was with me and was amazed at how natural the wig looks and we both were so impressed with Phylis. I have completed chemotherapy, but it will be 6 more months until my hair grows back. In the meantime, I have become very comfortable with the wig and most people don't know that it is not my own hair. Those that do know are very impressed with and even say it is very sophisticated. As an added benefit, Tiffany Wigs was in-network with my insurance company so I didn't have any odd of pocket expenses. I am being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering and have recommended Tiffany Wigs to their shop, my oncologist and other people in treatment facility. more

My friend lives in the Bronx and she was staying at my house in Peekskill to get away for a respit during chemoherapy treatments. After her second treatment, her hair started falling out at a rapid rate, which was devastating. We visited Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown Heights and was greeted by Phyllis who was so compassionate and caring. A wig was ordered that was so close to her hair color and style that you couldn't detect that it was not her hair. We were thrilled to say the least.
