Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown Heights was a wonderful experience. I went to Tiffany Wigs before I began chemotherapy and I was very upset at the prospect of losing my hair. Phylis was so gracious and caring and understood the pain I was going through. She spent time educating me on the different types of wigs (synthetic hair, human hair, hand tied,etc). I tried on multiple wigs and settled on a hair color and style close to my own hair.My brother was with me and was amazed at how natural the wig looks and we both were so impressed with Phylis.
I have completed chemotherapy, but it will be 6 more months until my hair grows back. In the meantime, I have become very comfortable with the wig and most people don't know that it is not my own hair. Those that do know are very impressed with and even say it is very sophisticated.
As an added benefit, Tiffany Wigs was in-network with my insurance company so I didn't have any odd of pocket expenses.
I am being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering and have recommended Tiffany Wigs to their shop, my oncologist and other people in treatment facility.
