The rep showed up knowing that I was the only one here. After I introduced myself, I told him that it was my partner that called and made the appointment. He then told me he didn't know who called, he just had our address and time on his list. After 5 minutes of small talk, he finally asked if I was in a position to make a decision on a sale. He could only offer Factory Incentives on the first visit, and if I couldn't make the decision, then perhaps he should come back. It would be best that he speak to both my partner and myself at the same time, he said, that way he could make sure we were both in agreement. I assured him that number one, I was quite capable of making a decision, and number two, it didn't matter, because we were not going to be pressured into a sale that very night. We had companies coming out each evening for the next 5 nights and we were going to listen to all of them, and then make our decision. After again telling me he would rather wait until we were both available, and that he was already booked for the evening and very busy, I finally told him that I would not guarantee that my partner would be here, and if he did not want to talk to me, he could walk out the door right now. And he did. On his way out he stated they would be calling back for a followup appointment - I told him to have a nice day.\r

The next day they did call - and the same man that initially set up the appointment (different from the actual rep), spoke to my partner again - he indicated the sales rep stated that my partner wasn't here, and asked why. My partner had already told them when they set up the appointment that he would not be here, but that I would and would gather all information to share. The phone rep then said that wasn't what they had set up. Then my partner told him exactly what happened, between myself and the actual representative, and assured the phone rep that he had explained that he would not be available. The phone rep finally admitted that he 'may have mis-understood', and my partner then told him we were not going to waste any more time with their company - the phone rep wished him well and HUNG UP!\r

For all the window companies there are in the Greater KC Area, I would NOT recommend Thermal King for any type of business at all.
Pros: Promptness
Cons: Rude, Condenscending Sales people
