The Tint Shop

I actually set up an account to write a review for these guys. I had a remote starter put in on my manual transmission 2011 WRX (the first time I paid someone to do anything to my vehicle). The Tint Shop offered a good price (over $100 less than a national chain local competitior) and said that they could handle a late model manual transmission car (a lot of places will not put remote starts on manuals). \r \r The initial install took about 5 hours, which isn't bad, but the car alarm kept going off when I used it. I took it back to The Tint Shop with my suspicions about what happened and they fixed it by adding another bypass module (about $80) for free since they did not foresee the issue (the 2011 and on Subarus have an additional security feature that previous model years did not have). From what I know about the wiring involved, they could have just used the original bypass module, but that would have led to potential electrical current stability problems or other issues. I had my Juke windows tinted by the Tint Shop last year - Great job and service. At that time I asked about a remote start. I wanted one, but was hearing horror stories about the Juke and remote start. They informed me at that time, that remotes for the Juke were still having the bugs worked out and advised against it. \r \r Checked with them this week and all was good with the Juke remotes. Just want to let eveyone know that this place is great! I went there and watched the staff seemlessly handle a bunch of customers. I waited in a cool waiting area and was in and out faster than they anticipated. On top of that the tint looks fantastic! Definitely a thumbs up in my book. more

These guy really do it right. I have have tried a few other tint places when I lived down south where they are a dime -o- dozen and by far The Tint Shop in Rochester is the best I have seen. Keep up the good work guys. I'll pop in next time I'm in town for sure! more

I just want to say that the Tint Shop in Rochester did an awesome job on my car. I drove in from Buffalo to have my windows tinted because a friend of mine recommended them. Well he was right and would recommend them too. Looks great and very happy with the honest service! more

I am the person who posted the review "Tint Shop Sucks - Stay Away." After filing a complaint, the Tint Shop did an outstanding job of fixing the issues. They replaced the wrong head unit with a free upgrade, refunded me the $100, and even gave me a $100 coupon towards the future. Kudos to Tint Shop for doing the right thing and making an unhappy customer satisfied. After customer service like this, I would now recommend the Tint Shop to others for tint OR sound. more

i've had a great experience with the tint shop. i had 35% tint masterfully applied to my subaru. i have had car windows tinted previously at other shops with far inferior results. i've had dust in the tint, film that didn't run to the edges of the windows leaving a subpar looking result. the tint shop installation was not only gorgeous looking, the guys in the shop were easy to work with. I worked with Jay and a couple guys on his team and couldn't be happier. the worst inconvenience was the car itself having to be replaced. now i'm knocking on their door again for another beautiful looking window treatment on the new car!!!\r \r thanks guys!\r \r Rylan more

My brand new car was taken here (1500 miles) when I received it back the door panels were not put back on correctly. The interior door has deep gouges out of the paint. The door panels had deep scratches and marks from a screwdriver. If you want your car to be destroyed then I recommend the tint shop... or better yet recommend the tint shop to your worst enemies. Tint Shop is good at tinting my Subaru Outback wagon and did it for the price of a sedan just to be nice. The job looked great from the start and still does. I recently went to the tint shop on west henrietta rd for that new product paint protection its like an invisable bra for your car. At the time i thought it was a bit pricy but to weeks after i was pulling out of a parking space next to a brick wall and scrapped side of my bumper. Its scratch the Paint protection but nothing to my car. It was worth every penny. Oh yeah they gave me a free tint job because I got that pait protection on my car. more

I recently got my '05 Chevy Cobalt tinted. I had won a raffle to receive $50 off of the tint so I couldn't refus this offer. The tint job ended up taking over 2 or 3 hours longer than they had told me which was not to my satisfaction. Upon receiving it I was told that ther may be bubbles for a couple weeks but they should go away. Three weeks later they were still there so I took it back in. THey fixed some of their errors but not all of them. I will have to take my car in a couple more times from the looks of it to get it perfect. more
