A couple of years ago we incurred expenses of about $1,000 to repair a problem with the headlight control which caused the headlights to suddenly switch off. Recently Ford sent a letter acknowledging a design defect in the control and offering to reimburse us retroactively for the expense. The Ford Store in San Leandro knew exactly how to go about processing the claim with customary efficiency, duly submitted to Ford. Today we received a check from Ford in the full amount of the expense. At a time when great cynicism exists about fair dealing in Corporate America, Ford's resolve to "make things right" for their customers is a breath of fresh air. My first car was a Ford, and I have owned several Ford products since then including a Mercury Grand Marquis and a Lincoln Navigator presently which The Ford Store in San Leandro has serviced expertly. I went to the Lincoln/Ford store, I had an appointment with Tony Guzman. I recommend that if you are shopping for a car or SUV, you go to the Lincoln Ford Store in San Leandro. I was treated great, and never felt pressured. I asked a TON of questions and each one was answered as if it was my first question. I will definitely be back. Thank you Tony Guzman. I brought my truck in for "the works" service which is marketed by Ford to cover required minor service. The service advisor handed me a sheet with several more expensive options, when I commented that the increased cost was not justified for the unnecessary additional items, he told me about the oil and transmission "conditioners that would be added. I pointed out that the owner's manual clearly states that the vehicle warranty is voided if any conditioners are added to the oil. He then attempted to sell me on the conditioner by claiming that the dealership would guarantee the engine for life. I know enough about cars to see through this ruse but it's disheartening to think of how many customers are taken advantage of. We settled on just the works and I headed to work. Got a call mid-morning that the vehicle was ready, when I came in about 3 to pick up my truck, no one could help me....they had to track down my service advisor to hand me the keys. It took 1/2 an hour to track him down, at which point he ran the truck through the poorest excuse for a wash ever. To top it off, though there were only three cars in the service waiting area, they were all side by side he couldn't get my truck through. After driving around for 5 minutes he finally found a path out. I'd like to be the lawyer handling the lawsuit this dealership when someone in service gets injured and an ambulance can't get through because all lanes are blocked. After getting my truck home and rehashing it, I double checked all the fluids to ensure that the work had actually been done. Appears the oil was changed but each of the 4 tires had different pressures. Bottom line - just shoddy work, couldn't be more disappointed. more

Everyone worked to get me the best deal possible. Nice not to have sales people houndering around you as you check out their vehicles on the lot. They made the initial contact and basic info, I told them just looking, they left me to look. more
