we recently returned to the Don this past weekend to celebrate my husband's bday and as wwell as our anniversary, we were married in the courtyard of the Don 3 years ago - and as always, we LOVED our stay. everything was PERFECT and I coudln't even think of one thing that could be improved upon. everything is PEFRRFECT. the staff, the room, the accomodations, the pool, the beach, I could go on and on - it was wonderful and again we returned home w/ beautiful memories and a desire to get back there as soon as we can! Michelle gives a wonderful facial. The facillity is lovely but not user friendly. The new gentleman at the desk is a big improvement and a great first step. One star for management, effecency, training and SERVICE befitting a first class Spa. This reflects the opinion of myself and four others. more

Amazing experience! 4/9/2011

We arrived with friendly faces welcoming us to the resort. Our accommodations we excellent and the view spectacular. The staff at the spa were outstanding and professional. Everyone called us by name and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time we will spend the whole week here instead of hopping all over Florida. Thank you for a wonderful second honeymoon. more

Truly Paradise!! 4/5/2011

My husband arranged for me to have a facial, pedicure and manicure. What a treat! He did the same for me last year, and I can honestly say that Oceana Spa is without doubt, in my experience, the best spa I've been to--and I've been to several. I was so excited when he told me he had booked this experience for me again. I was pampered to the utmost and felt totally relaxed and refreshed when I left. Can't wait for next year!! more

Eyebrow wax 4/5/2011

I loved the atmosphere and the complimentary tea and such, and my esthetician was great and she did a thorough job. However, the next day, I had a horrible rash on all of the areas on my brow where she waxed. I don't know if it was from the wax, or a lotion or product she used, but it did not make me want to go back for another brow wax. I would go back for a massage or manicure but not for their waxing services. more

Wedding Appt.. Confusion (both hair and make-up) 3/22/2011

I had reservations for my Wedding Day hair and make-up (being held at the Don, March 15). Oddly, I was not called to confirm my two appts. and they were both incorrectly listed in your reservation system. When I arrived, the desk showed the reservation as a "trial" hair appt. - it wasn't a trial, it was my Wedding Day. I had also scheduled a Make-up appt. as soon as my hair was finished @ 3:30pm. The time of the make-up appt. showed (incorrectly) as 4pm (which is when my photos were starting). Thankfully, Michele was able to do my make-up immediately and was both professional and Wonderful! Having been to the spa the past 3 yrs. for wonderful massages, I was disappointed that my Wedding day appts. were both incorrect. Thank you. Jennifer more

facial/pedi/lunch/blow dry 3/20/2011

Tabitha was very professional and thorough with the facial..she had a very nice touch and the facial (deluxe) was very refreshing I feel and look younger Lunch was yummy and served on time and with a pretty flower Rachel pedicure was very nice Holli did a great job on my frizzy hair I feel like cleopatra straight and shiny hair...1 day later. Cathy was great with assistance in lockers Everyone was friendly and courteous no attitudes were noted..will be back hopefully in May my b-day and mothers day..:) more

Spa review - not good customer service 3/19/2011

I frequent the Don CeSar spa, because Rebecca gives amazing massages (her massages are 5 star all the way). However, I will not likely go back. They told me they were offering a 20% off services special they emailed to clients for whom they had an email address. I told them I went there often and they had my email. When they looked me up, they said "yes, we have your email, but oops we spelled the @tampabay.rr.com wrong (tapmabay)." They then said they could not honor the 20% discount because I did not have the printed email in hand even though it was due to their error and they could see me right there in the system. At this visit, that would have been over $30 in savings to me. Not a good way to treat repeat clients who live in the area. There are other spas in the area that are just as good and value my business more. more

Carolyn is an absolutely marvelous therapist! She is sweet, calming, engaging, and terrifically talented. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my spa experience. The amenities are first rate, and the staff can't do enough. The service is excellent. more

I have been a guest several times at the Spa Oceana. As always my day didnt disappoint. Christopher was fantastic as usual and the roof top experience was excellent. I highly recommend the Spa Oceana in St Pete Beach. more

Hot stone massage 3/12/2011

Chris gave me a great hot stone message. I could not believe my 90 minutes were over when it was done! Chris was professional, friendly and competent. One could not ask for a more beautiful setting...from the window overlooking the Gulf, to the soft, quality sheets and towels, to the soft lighting. I wish I could have had more time to relax at the Spa when my message was over, but had to leave for another engagement. I will definitely be back! more

World class spa, nickel and dime customer service at hotel... 3/8/2011

Spa facilities and the couple's massage were excellent and met our expectations but the fact that we were not allowed to visit the pool after spending close to $500 in the spa is totally unacceptable and may keep us from returning. What a shame because you have a world class spa with nickel and dime level of customer service at the hotel. more
