The food was great! And this comes from two foodies...A nice server, with adequate knowledge of the food and menu, and plenty of choices and specials. We shared an appetizer special samples (including crispy srimp, fried egg rolls, crisp dumplings, and wontons), as well as the green curry with coconut, mushrooms and peas; additionally, the spicy noodle dish. Everything seemed very fresh, and tasty. Seasoned to your liking, and great authentic drinks to enjoy! We can't wait to go back for more! Pros: service, food Cons: none to think of more

Thai Diner Too is comparable to Mama Zu's but a bit nicer inside. You can get in and out of this place in 45 min from the time your order to the time you walk out the door. The Massaman Curry and Drunken Noodle are two of my favorites and they are very reasonably priced. Please NOTE: Do Not Challenge the Chef on how spicy he can make a dish. He will ruin you!!! Pros: Food, Price, Asian Beer Selection Cons: Service is good but not freindly more

Delicious Inexpensive Thai 10/12/2007

Thai Diner Too is great. I don't eat meat, so I've only had vegetarian dishes. They have all been delicious. One dish of deep fried tofu with a spicy sauce and veggies was esspecially memorable. Also, very large portions, you can easily split one with an appetizer. Tasty thai iced tea, and also Thai beers to choose from. Do it! Pros: Friendly service, delicous food, large portions, reasonable prices more

Terrible service!!! 1/31/2007

Went here for lunch today and had horrible service. Very crabby, gruff waitress. Our entrees took over 30 minutes and by that time we had to request that they be packed to go. This request was met with scorn and lots of grumbling by the same crabby waitress. No apologies or even mention at any time of why the food took so long (other diners came and went in the time span that we waited for our food). It seemed like a joke, like are these people kidding? They could have cared less if we had a pleasant dining experience. Would not recommend this place, the food is not worth being treated so horribly. Cons: Unpleasant servers, dirty glassware more

Definitely the best Thai food in town, this carytown staple is good for two or twenty. With great food and a full bar you'll be sure to have a good time. Try the diner style massman curry more

Absolutely Delicious Meal! 10/28/2002

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a Vietnamese restaurant despite the gaudy neon sign. We sampled the steamed dumpling appetizers (wonderful sauce) and moved on to the amazing Tamarind Beef dish (the meat was sooo tender) and some other pork dish. If you like coffee, wash down the meal with the dark Thai Coffee, its one of the best i've tried. Pros: Yummy Food, Generous portions, Large Selection Cons: Slowish service more

curry and coconut milk... mmmm 9/22/2002

We tried Thai Diner Too for the first time recently... and we were back for the second time within a week! The food is simply delicious. I tried two different curry dishes, each time with a meat selection and veggies, in a rather thin, white coconut milk sauce with curry and a hint of anise-- amazing flavor combinations. Service is good and price is reasonable. The menu is HUGE so I intend to keep going back to try new things! Pros: great food, huge menu, good service more

Great Dining 8/7/2002

For a comfortable dining experience, the Thai Diner Too is the place to go! They have a wide selection of entrees (the menu is a book!) including vegetarian! The noodles of the drunk are great, so is the pad thai! I have taken many visitors to Richmond there and everyone loves their meal! Always quick service; never a bad experience. I seem to go once a week. Give it a try, I think you'll enjoy it too! more
