Taze is a gem of a place located on the second floor of a residential building on Montague Street ? the main drag in Brooklyn Heights. The food is fresh and the preparation is excellent -- they do not drown their dishes in oil and salt which is can be problem with many of the Mediterranean restaurants in the city. For an appetizer, I recommend the ""ezme"" ? chopped tomatoes with walnuts, hot chili sauce, oil and pomegranate juice - spicey but unique tasting. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Worth a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.
