This is not your ordinary tattoo shop. Gil is by appointment and well worth it. He will custom design your tattoo to be a work of art. It is a very clean, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I was extremely happy with both tattoos. If you go to Tattoo Odyssey you will not go anywhere else. more

Got my first tattoo done by Gil. It is perfect! Not only that but it wasn't just a simple tattoo. Copied it just like the picture i showed him. If I ever get another tattoo I will go there again. Outstanding job! more

I just got my first tat last night at Tattoo Odyssey! Bret was my artist and he was so awesome. I was nervous when I walked in, but he was so confident that I knew I didn't have anything to worry about. Bret did such a great job!! I can't wait to go back for my next tattoo, and I will definitely request Bret again! more

I researched some local artists and went with Gil at Tattoo Odyssey. I absolutely made the right choice. I gave him some elements that I wanted in a tribute tattoo and he pieced them together in a great way. 1st session was last night and it went by very fast and pain-free. Great conversation and Gil explained every detail of the process. The tattoo looks even better than I ever visualized it. I cant wait to go back and add the color in a couple weeks. I will definitely get more art work done by Gil in the future. more

When I first met Gil a few years ago, I knew that he would be the one to do my first tattoo. After years of wanting a tattoo, I decided that I wanted to do it for my 40th birthday. I am so happy that I went to Gil and Tattoo Odyssey. The whole experience was wonderful. He is so awesome and made me feel so relaxed. He was professional & friendly & so down to earth. My Tattoo looks amazing. Gil is so talented and truly transformed my foot into a piece of beautiful artwork. I highly recommend Gil & Tattoo Odyssey!! more

Gil finished my deer scene Tattoo yesterday, what a masterpiece. I've had this scene in my head for twenty years, Gil is the only one that could have pulled this off. He took his time and got it right. He is an awesome guy and very pleasant to hang out with. I highly recommend this Tattoo shop. more

My tattoo has been refurbished and expanded by Gil. He's done a completely amazing job that went beyond my expectations. He suggested couple of ways to expand the tattoo that would give it a complete design, and I chose the one that I liked the most. Gilbert is very responsive to thoughts of his customers and always takes a great heed to a particular piece of art before doing it. When I came to get it done, it was obvious that he had been discerning the particularity of my tattoo for some considerable time, and that's what makes him a true and distinguished artist. I'm glad I received my piece of art from him. more

This old hippie chick got a tattoo. The shop was cleaner than a high-class beauty salon. From sketch to ink it was pure art. Gil answered all my questions and put me at ease. He's a great conversationalist, professional, meticulous, with a gentle touch (I only said ""ouch"" twice). Gil took his time to get the tattoo done right. Gil is a true skin-artist. My tattoo looks better each day. All in all, it was a great experience. I'm very satisfied with the work done. Thank you! more

Gil is the MASTER. Period. 5/1/2012

Gil has been my one and only artist and will remain so for as long as he lives. All my sisters and I only go to this man because he is the only one we trust with the gun. I've gotten all 5 of my tattoos from him only (the oldest being 8 years ago) and they still look fresh and new as ever. THAT's quality. He's not only very experienced but he is very honest and patient. He tells it like it is and will never let you walk away with something he doesn't approve of. His studio is also very different because he doesn't do walk-ins. He is well worth the wait because he will take your idea and turn it into a masterpiece by the time the machine touches your skin. I am convinced Gil is the only man I trust enough to turn my body into a work of art that deserves to be in the Louvre. And letting anyone else get near me with an ink gun would be cheating on him. As I've said before, BEST of the BEST. more

Just A Dam Good Experience! 2/15/2012

Was not long ago my oldest son approached me and said he wanted to get a Tattoo. He was 25 yrs old. As someone who has there share of forbiden ink it took me only about 30 seconds to tell my son I had no problem with allowing him but I did have one condition. That was he was to use the same studio as I do. That would be Tattoo Odyssey. The artist and owner (Gil ) and I go back 25 yrs and I dont think there is a more passionate person in the business. There is always a waiting period but it is always worth the wait. That was last year this year my youngest son asked if he could get a tattoo he is 22 yrs old same story another great job. Im sure some of you may be saying why are you allowing your kids get tattooed. Well times have changed and skin art is no longer looked at as representing something or someone bad. So with that being said I just wanted them to get the best they could and something they would not regret later in life. Gil you are a true artist and as a dad I thank you for the fine art work you did for all of us. Tim more

It was my first tattoo there so of course i was a little skeptical about what the experience would be, but once i got in there it was smooth sailing...., Manny one of the artist there was very friendly, detailed oriented,courteous and receptive to my feedback about what i wanted, great experience!!! i was very impressed with Manny's work. so if you are looking for a great spot to get you tattoo done, this is the place to be. more

BEST Tattoo Parlor 1/12/2012

I would like to say that Gil is the most proffesional tattoo artist i ever meet. I was getting a portiat of my mom who ment the world to me. Gil understood this. He took his time and was very detailed oriented. This by far is the best tattoo i ever gotten. The tattoo looks just like her picture. Its amazing !!!! I am so impressed i cant even put it in words. If you are looking for the best look no further. Gil at Tattoo Odyssey has you covered. I f you have never been there i stongly suggest you do. first and only place i will ever get a tattoo! 8/13/2011

what more can i say. i agree with everybody else. went to south street and got scared at prices and lack of humility there. found Gil using reviews online (tks everybody now my turn to write one) and went there for the best experience ever. he listened to what i wanted and why i wanted it: my beloved horse and dog. the delay was long but it didn't matter! what's few months when u get the best tattoo for life? i was afraid of the sketch because i'm no artist but i listened to why he did it the way he did and got blown away by his logic. he not only did a remarkable job at drawing them but the layout proved that he had listened and understood me (the size and placement of one versus the other, the location of the tattoo EVERYTHING was thought for, he explained it to me and i loved that he took the time to justify his choices to me). then came tattoo time. again Gil is great 3.5hrs later i was ecstatic, 1month later i'm happier than ever with it! his aftercare advice were great and helped because i knew what to expect. overall i love the guy! i would recommend to anyone and my friends are sold. more

First Tattoo 8/12/2011

I never thought i would get a tattoo but when my wife passed away. I wanted something to honor my wife. I went to a couple of tattoo shops, just to see what was out there. I went to Tattoo Odyssey in June, the personal was professional & friendly. i was nervous at first but Gil assured me everything would be fine & it was. I just want to say that the tattoo is great ! I glad i got it. If i ever want another tattoo, this is the place to go.. ( plus Gils' music is my kind of music, lol ) more

Tattoo Odyssey 5/7/2011

After visiting other tattoo shops, I thought I would never get a tattoo because the people giving the tattoos did not seem to listen to what I said. Gil is very thorough and cares about what you want to get (and a nice person). After all, this is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. I am glad I decided to stop in because I probably would not have gotten a tattoo else where. I got an awesome cross. This is the only place I will go to for my next tattoo. more
